From the Provider
Home Health Mates-Florida is a Joint Commission Accredited medical/nonmedical home health agency. All clients plan of care is supervised by a RN(registered Nurse). Care is available 24/7, and we offer no hourly minimums which is unique to the Tampa home health market. The bottom line is you shouldn't have to pay for four hours of care if you only need 1 hour of care.
Home Health Mates understands that our business is represented by the caregivers we hire. Therefore, we carefully screen and select those caregivers who meet the following requirements:
- Extensive Criminal Background Checks
- Valid License Verification
- Personal and Professional Reference Checks
- Current Immunization and Health Physicals
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (for nursing staff)
- In addition, each caregiver must go through multiple interviews, culminating with final approval from the Director of Nursing (DON). This will ensure that each caregiver will be properly screened before being placed with a client.
All of our caregivers are licensed, bonded, and insured employees of Home Health Mates.
Home Health Mates offers a wide array of non-medical and companionship care on an hourly or live-in basis. Our carefully trained caregivers can assist with the following services:
- Personal Care (Bathing, Grooming, Toileting, Hygiene, Feeding, Dressing)
- Companionship
- Meal Preparation
- Medication Reminders
- Transportation Services to Doctors or Therapy
- Grocery Shopping
- Light Housekeeping/Laundry
- Assist with Exercise Regimens/Range of Motion
- Assistance Upon Discharge from Hospital

- Respite for Family Members
- Continence Management
- Nursing Visits from the Director of Nursing (Insulin Injections, Medication Pours, Wound Care Treatment)

I interviewed this provider
I contacted Home Health Mates, trying to find out info for my brother & sister-in-law. I received a follow up call right away and a promise of a brochure in the mail. This was about 6 weeks ago. Still no brochure. I even sent them an email about 2 weeks ago again, asking for a brochure, and still nothing. While this may be just an unfortunate incident, it makes me think twice about their ability to care for my loved one.
