The Emily Agency

My family is currently working with an agency called "The Emily Agency" located in Illinois. We've had to request different caregivers for various reasons: English Speaking - most of the caregivers are from the Philippines making communication very difficult. My mother is 88 yrs old, hence using a Caregiver Agency.

Other caregivers don't take the initiative, to engage my mother with any activities: going outside, take her shopping. This is a huge problem as with my mom's condition, the doctors have stressed, mom needs to be forced to do simple things. Instead she sits on her sofa, thumbs thru some catalogs, and then ends up sleeping many hours.

Because of the lack of interaction, we have now worked out a system with relatives. This seems to be working much better, and have worked out a system so as not to burn out the family caregives.
