I am a friend or relative of a resident

My partner stayed at Village Care after a long hospital stay for which she needed rehab. I can't say enough about the direct care staff at Village Care. The nurses were kind, caring and really kept up with all the little things that make a big difference when you are immobile. For example, my family member had some breakdown on the back of her heels and the hospital staff never noticed it, but the people at Village Care did. They would laugh and joke with my family member too, always treated her like a full human being, not just a bunch of problems. The rehab staff were so patient! They chatted with my family member to try and relax her before doing her rehab. Oh and the food was really good, surprisingly good. I think they may even have it catered. My only problem the whole stay was that there was a couple of administrative people that were very calloused in the way they handled things. I don't think they were trying to be mean but they were blunt in ways they shouldn't have been. It was interesting that the direct care staff was so patient and the people who never even had to deal with the day to day difficulties were so inpatient. Overall great experience though.
