Presbyterian Homes believes that one effective way for people to recover from surgery or hospitalization, or an acute illness, is in the comfort and security of their own home. The familiar surroundings, and the sense of home, provide an important therapeutic value in a person's recovery.

Often after hospitalization, or a stay in health care, clients may require the support of our home health professionals. We provide an array of services designed to continue rehabilitation and strengthen independence as a client recovers at home. Services include skilled nursing; physical, occupational, and speech therapy: assistance with personal care from home health aides; medical social services from social workers; and rehabilitation therapy.

Home health nurses visit patients in the home to manage the plan of care. Skilled assessment, teaching and hands-on care including: dressing changes, wound care, blood draws for lab tests, catheter changes and teaching can all be part of the care provided.
