I have had experience with the Home Nursing Agency both in the past and present. My mother had Alzheimer's and my brother has brain cancer. Home Nursing sends rn's and nurses aides daily for both medical and assisted living. Medications are distributed, labs drawn, vital signs obtained right in your own home. Aids assist with feeding, bathing, and simply visiting with the patient. If needed in evening hours, they are just a phone call away. Home nursing also takes care of all the paperwork. They also provide all of the necessary equipment needed for the patient. We've had and now have hospital beds, dressing screens, adult diapers, lift chairs, and anything else needed to care for the patient at home. They also provide transportation to and from doctor's visits and/or upon discharge from the hospital. We don't need to worry about calling the physician. Home Nursing takes care of calling for medications and change of doctor's orders. They assist with appointments. They are like a second family. My family has had two family members for whom we were and are caring at home and we could not do it without the help of the Home Nursing Agency and Hospice.
