We're moving into the Homewood at Williamsport. We like the fact that it was quieter and smaller than most of the other places that we looked at on the outside. They supply a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher in the apartment. The staff was terrific. They have courtyards, the pool is inside, and there are walking paths. We chose the place that we did because they had a unique apartment available. It was a cottage, basically, and it was combined into one. It was two separate ones combined into one that one of the previous owners had taken a wall out and it became much larger, it's like 1968 square feet. So it's quite attractive. It was a nice and quiet location and everyone was very nice. All the people that we talked to who lived there were very, very nice and appreciative, and enjoyed living there. So that was important to us.

I have lots of friends that live there at Homewood at Williamsport. The facility is clean and offers a lot of activities and supportive services. I had an uncle that was living there way into his 90s, and they checked often. He felt comfortable and very safe there. I did see breakfast one morning, and they serve a good breakfast. They seem to have healthy food. There's a pool, and if an activity like that is what interests you, they've got plenty of that. If you just kind of want to sit around, play cards, or put puzzles together, they have areas for that. They fill up a bus and go to all kinds of activities in the area. Every time I go to the Maryland Theater for a concert or something, I see people from there go into the concert. It's like a home and the best part is that it has levels. I have a friend that moved in there with her husband, but he passed. She moved to a smaller apartment and she's looking forward to it. If she ever needs full-time nursing care, she can get that there as well. It seems to cover all the bases without being incredibly expensive. There's a garden and walking trails. From the front of the area it looks as if it's all apartments, but as you go back there were bungalows, and there were little things set off. There were even small standalone homes. There were some woods back there that they can walk through. There's plenty of benches and stuff. They have several book clubs depending on what your interest is. If yours is mystery and mine is romance, they have separate book clubs. They have game nights, game areas, you can walk in a room and somebody at one table is playing poker, another table just putting a puzzle together, and another table they're teaching somebody how to crochet. They've got exercise equipment, treadmills, and ellipticals. They have people come in and speak about different health topics or any kind of topic they'd want to be interested in. They seem to keep their pulse on what's going on in the community. I know many people that live there or have lived there, and I have never heard anybody say ugly stuff, and that's amazing because older people sometimes can be very critical. They may not like the person that lives next door, but they don't say anything about the facility, and I think that's high praise. I know that my uncle felt very cared about there. They checked on him and they said, "We're not comfortable with you in your room. How about we put you over here where we can watch you a little better." They initiated all those things by checking every day just to see how he's doing. I know part of their protocol is to check and make sure things are going well, but they also checked with the family members because my husband was the family contact person and they would call him. They were very supportive, just wonderful, and helped with everything. The facility was lovely and I snooped around. Even on the units where people are severely impaired or severely unwell, it was clean and bright. There was music playing. There were people around. You didn't feel like you were going there to die. I didn't try the food, but I've seen it served, and everybody was eating really well. Nobody complains about it. I think they try and do it healthily and yet with some treats and stuff. People always seem to have a sweet tooth and they seem to manage that, but without going overboard. The value for the money was excellent. Compared to some places I've seen, it's very well worth the dollar.

This is absolutely the worst place imaginable for your elderly loved one. Their food is terrible and my Mom's cottage has mold! They never return phone calls and are extremely rude. They mistreat the elderly. Do not send your loved one here. I am getting my Mom out of here and filing a complaint against them.

Homewood at Williamsport is great. It's at the top of the list for this area for my parents when they need it. Some of the apartments were great, some were OK. It depends on what people are looking for. The only person I met with is the person who's selling, and she was great. I didn't meet anybody else. I didn't go on this trip because they're still closed, but I've been in there before and it's very nice. They also had a virtual tour, and you can stay out in the windows. Everyone's needs are different, but it's something that is definitely worth checking out. It's a gorgeous facility.

My mother moved into Homewood at Williamsport. It's excellent, we are extremely happy, Mother is happy there, and I would recommend it to anyone. It's clean, my mother is well-cared for, and the staff is kind, caring, and attentive. The room is private, and they have private or shared. For activities they have a lot of one-on-one and they have a lot of group activities with distancing. They have a gym, pool, hair salon, they have outings, and they do a multitude of things that she can participate in if COVID wasn't a factor.

My visit at Homewood at Williamsport went very well. It seemed more reasonable and the amenities they offer were similar to others, except there weren't any garages, just parking spaces. The staff people were very capable and very friendly. They took us on a tour, and we got to see a cottage that was currently empty. They apparently do a fairly complete refurbishing of it whenever somebody moves out, including changing the carpet, the appliances and so forth. They had a room for card playing and other games. They also had a swimming pool and an exercise area. There were some other special activities that you could do, if you wanted. The provided bus service to the grocery store and other places as needed.
