I am a friend or relative of a resident
The staff greets me at the door with a hello smile on their faces and allow me to walk through the home without a guide. I not only check in on our members I prayer for those you need prayer along with bless oil. If they should happen to go into the hospital I sometime go there as well.....I read to them, pray with them and I am also a story teller. Somedays my visits are good and some days they aren't. I know some of the people by name that are not of our church. I treat all the same. Sometimes its depressing and sometimes its very rewarding. God is always working. I visited a mother and daughter how had Kidney transplants not that was God working. I couldn't hold back my tears. I sometime take plants, flowers but most of the time I take God and my smile. Thanks for asking me to share.

A friend of ours was on vacation from Missouri to Tennessee. This vacation was long over-due. He and his wife found a hotel; checked in on their first night he had a terrific headache, fell to the floor. She immediately called the ambulance after rushing him to the hospital in Tennessee he was diagnose with an amurizum. Cannot remember the hospital there -- his stay was weeks until they stabilized him. After shipping him back to Missouri to the Christian Hospital his stay there was long also. Finally they more him to Village North Rehab Center. This place didn't have a nasty odor, the staff was polite, they had therapy, exercise rooms, showers, nurses around the clock it appeared as though they had one nurse per patient. They were on top on the patients with their meals. Some of them could feed themselves others could not. Out friend could not. Some evening I would go in to visit, I enjoy telling stories and reading so this was my pleasure. The staff knew me by name, although I didn't go on the same day each week, because I was told to always visit on different days this way the staff would not know his stayed there several months. He has not recovered.
