I am a friend or relative of a resident
Greencroft reminds me of a town within a town. It does not have things like a newspaper or a wide selection of restaraunts (it relies instead on the surrounding area for those). What I am always impressed by is the feeling of community that Greencroft inspires. To be sure, each resident obviously had a community of people that they knew prior to moving into their present retirement home, but in addition to their families, I often hear residents describe lovingly their interactions with so-and-so from down the hall or their new best friend from Manor IV. I'm sure Greencroft is far from perfect as I don't live there, it can be kind of hard to tell that but I am pleased with the way my elderly friends are taken care of and treated. They seem to be, as well. The only negative side I'm acutely aware of is a lack of size: it is difficult for me to maneuver in some rooms, let alone a resident with a walker or wheelchair.
I visited this facility
Very clean and welcoming facility. Employees were interested in seniors and spent quite a bit of time with a few of them on a personal level. The employees seemed to respond to the needs of the seniors appropriately. They have activities for the seniors. They have field trips that the seniors can attend if able.
they are wonderful with dementia patients and I would recommend them to anyone needing daycare
