I visited this facility

Willow Creek is a very nice facility. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone only a specific group of people. 

When I was there in 2010 I noticed that depending on your care needs the more attention you would receive from the staff.  I had a client who gradually started to decline and as she started to decline the staff wasn't noticing the changes she was going through and so needless to say her daughter moved her mom because she felt just because her moms level of care changed her care shouldn't had changed.

Out of five stars, I would rank the grounds a four out of five stars, the common areas a four out five stars, the residents' rooms a four out five stars, the staff  a three out five stars and the quality of care a three.

Overall, I'd give Willow Creek a rating of three stars because of the reason listed above.

There were a couple of situation that I experienced at Willow Creek which caused me great concern. The first one being that the facility seemed to be cleaner and better kept than the residents themselves. Some of the residents, bless their hearts, appeared to not have been recently bathed or fed very well. This was my first visit to a facility where I was asked by more than one resident for a snack. I have been asked by a resident or two in the past, but never more than one at the same facility. I was asked by several residents at Willow Creek and when I went to the kitchen area to ask for something for them to eat it was like asking them to donate a vital organ. Eventually, however, I got those residents their snacks. I could not believe that they had to ask me for them, they should be able to go in and get snacks whenever they wish, and while I was assured by a staff member, after the fact, that the residents are welcome to get food whenever they please, it unfortunately did not appear to be that easy for them since they asked me, a visitor, for help. I asked one of the residents that I got a snack for if they feel comfortable to be able to go into the kitchen area at any hour and ask for a snack and she told me that she did that once and was told to wait until breakfast, so now she just waits for meals or has her family bring her snack from home to keep in her apartment. I was so disturbed by her answer that I was almost in tears. The second issue I had seen was when I was walking down one of the hallways, I noticed that someone had vomited on the floor and it had just been covered up by a hand towel, and it appeared to have been there for quite some time. I would not recommend Willow Creek and it is my deepest hope that things get straightened out right away for the sake of the residents currently residing there. I had a hard time leaving the facility, I wanted to be able to take all of the residents with me, and I cant stand leaving a facility feeling that way.
