My mother has moved into Greystone Farm at Salem. It was more of my sister's decision. Of all the places that we went to see, my sister just seemed to feel the most comfortable there. They seem to be attentive and they'll address any issues that we may have. They have singalongs, they have church services or some type of services on Sunday, and reading hour. There's a lot of different things that they do that I see on the board. The dining area seems very nice and very well stocked. The staff seems very good. They always seem to have snacks and things available between the meals. The staff is easily accessible and happy to help out whenever they can when you may have a question. It seems quite clean. I don't see anything that's alarming. It's quite expensive, but since this is the first time, I really don't have any comparison that I can use.

Greystone Farm at Salem was a very nice place. The layout was nice. The dining room was nice. Everything was well-kept and new looking. All the workers smiled and were polite. They answered all my questions when I went. The dining room was full when I was there, and everyone seemed happy with the food. They showed me most of the facility. Any time we ran into some of the other employees, everyone was smiling and greeting each other. It was very nice. It was a nice visit. I saw the menu, but I didn't try anything. That's something I may revisit because I only visited the assisted living. They had different areas that they could put my father in without leaving the premises. If his dementia got worse, if he got Alzheimer's, if he needed skilled nursing, or if he needed hospice, they could move him around inside the building. Those services could also come to him in the same room.

My mom is in Greystone Farm at Salem. It is an assisted living, full nursing. They have nurses 24 hours is what we needed. It looks well established. My mom has been moved around so many times in and out because of Covid and then rehab. So she's a little bit behind in everything, but they will assist her with physical therapy and speech therapy. I'm happy where she is, and we'll see what happens. The food looks edible, which is great. It's presented nicely, and they have choices. If they don't like the choices, the kitchen will make them what they want. The staff members are a hundred percent fantastic and very caring. We are just relieved that my mom is in a clean place. They are taking care of her and feeding her. They also have people coming in who will assess her every two weeks. In my mom's ward, they try to get them to socialize all the time. They don't want them to be in their room all day. They get them up, get them dressed, get them out of the room, and bring them in with people.

I liked Greystone Farm at Salem. I liked the atmosphere and it seemed like a nice, comfortable, and caring place. The person who did the tour was great. The rooms looked nice and comfortable. They also have transportation where they take them out for different things or medical visits. It was a very pretty and homey place.

My father-in-law moved into Greystone Farm at Salem. It's very homey and pleasant. His room is just right. It's just what he needs. The staff is very kind and caring. He has a urinary catheter, however, and they don't seem to know quite how to take care of it, and he's not too happy about that. Other than that, he gets good care. He doesn't do too many activities. He plays Nickels and he watches a few films, but he mostly keeps to himself. He's a quiet man. They have many activities. It's just that he doesn't take part in too many of them, but he could. They do pedicures. They don't have a gym or anything like that, but they have exercise classes. It's simple. They have a nice community room, and they have a lot of activities in it. They have a café area that they haven't opened yet, but it's all set to open and it's very nice. The food is not great, but it's nice. The staff is very good, but I guess because it's not a nursing home, they don't have as much knowledge about his catheter and things like that. The facility is very nice. The cost of it is ridiculous, but I think it's like that at all the places.

My mother is at Greystone Farm at Salem. It's top-notch and 5 stars. It had a little better vibe to it than the other place we visited. Her apartment there is really nice and they did a great job of setting it up. The important thing was that it was right before the COVID thing so no one was allowed before they locked down. The staff is wonderful. Their dining area is very clean, spacious and lovely, the tables aren't crammed together and it's also really homey. The whole first floor reminds me of a decent resort, and there's also a bistro area. My mom is eating well there. They have lots of sitting spaces interspersed around the layout, and it was good. Every staff we encountered knew the residents by name, and the residents also knew them by name. We saw a lot more staff visibly present here compared to other places, because it's a smaller building. The community has 2 floors and it's laid out well. So we bumped into staff going to and fro, helping people and meeting people. Right now, there are lots of things that they're supposed to be doing with an Alzhiemer's patients (like getting them out, socializing them, or getting them into activities) that they just can't do right now because they can't have contact but it's not their fault.
