The tour we had at Brompton Heights Located in Williamsville was really nice. The building was really big, which we liked, and it had high ceilings. The director was extremely accommodating. The only thing that we didn't like was that they didn't offer apartment-style living. It was more of a 1-bedroom with a little eating area in it. There was nothing where it was like a separate kitchen from the bedroom and the living room. It had more of a nursing home hospital feel. We toured the assisted living part, and they had nice big rooms. They had a theater and an ice cream parlor, and all of that seemed really nice. They were doing trivia while I was there. One benefit is that they do skilled nursing in that facility, so that was a plus for us.

My friend was a resident at Brompton Heights. The people were very personable and very friendly. A bunch of us had set up a luncheon for her, and they provided us with a separate room. They provided us with lunch, and we took a cake (or they provided it). We knew she was leaving, and it was kind of a farewell. They did a wonderful job. They really did. I wasn't happy with her room. She was in like in a semi-private, but that was her finances. It was kind of sparse, but she was packing to leave. Where we were was like a main atrium; it was a huge room for people to socialize and visit. We didn't eat in the main dining room because they put us in a separate little room, which was nice. The main dining room looked very lovely. It was warm, and the people seemed to be socializing. They seemed happy to be there. It was very, very nice and very comfortable for the people.

I toured Brompton Heights Located in Williamsville. We're looking for respite options for my mom. Not all places catered to respite, to the short-term stay, they were one of them, and their price was the deciding factor. The staff member was phenomenal, she was very helpful, and she was very friendly, and knowledgeable. Everything was in order, it was a very nice facility, clean, and well kept. The rooms were very well done, she did take me into two different sample rooms, and they were very, very nice. The dining room was nice too. They had a courtyard. It was available and open for my needs. It suited my needs.

Brompton Heights in Williamsville looked very nice, but the independent side looked old. It was not bright and shiny, while the other side looked newer and nicer. They had big rooms with a lot of chairs, and all had laundry rooms that you don't have to pay quarters in the machine. They can do all the laundry for you if you need to, and they charge you for that. They had some nice rooms, but they were way down the long hall. In the new sections however, the hall was not long. In independent living, it was just a one long hall, and didn't seem to have any purpose to it. It was kind of depressing. Their activities include exercises in the morning, singing, ice cream in the afternoon, balloon toss, manicures, finishing the lyrics games, wheel of fortune, special TV thing going on at night, laughter time after exercise, and a Cinco de Mayo Party. It sounds like they're busy all the time. They have beautiful grounds that you could walk around. It's very quiet, even though you're almost at a transit road.

My mother is in Brompton Heights-Williamsville. The concern is that she's always been in assisted living, and they informed us during COVID that she needed to be moved to enhanced. Although checking with the nurses on duty, they haven't done anything different with her than they've had in the past. So that was the concern that precipitated a search for another facility. The fact that we've gone through this timeframe with three to four directors, it was more confusing because we never even got the same story from the same person twice. Also not being able to see her compounded the problem. Our overall experience was fair. She didn't really need much help when she first went in, so she participated in the activities, and they weren't really taking her to any of the activities. So we were pushing to have that done and were visiting on a weekly basis, and it was adequate. The room she's in is a basic room and there's a walk-in shower, two beds, two dressers, and two chairs. The food was adequate, delivered at a consistent time every day in the large dining room. She sat at a table with three other individuals. I would rate the working nursing staff at a five, and the administrative staff at a three.

My mother has lived at Brompton Heights for over a year and and is receiving enhanced assisted-living services. We are very happy with the staff! They are caring and know my mom well. The nurses and aids take very good care of my mom and treat her with respect. We love the layout with the large living room area for residents and visitors to hang out and socialize. There is also a smaller living room area near my moms room that she spends quite a bit of time in. My mom loves their art program, playing bingo and going to mass. Mom will be living at Brompton Heights for many years to come.
