My father will be moving into Barclay Friends. He hasn't moved in yet, but I think it's gonna be great. I liked the empathy of the staff, the engagement of the staff, the options and the different care levels, the horticulture therapy, and its proximity to my home. The rooms were lovely, roomy, and very bright. I liked the enclosed walking area. I liked the enclosed patio.

My mom is in Barclay Friends for about a month now. I am not allowed to visit her in her suite, but they have some common areas. Because we've moved her mid-March and the weather has turned nice, most of my visits were on an outdoor patio. My mother is in the memory care section and it is a new facility that just opened up in October. It's very nice. There are different activities, and they have botany programs. They have meals, and all that good stuff, I would recommend it to anyone. It is brand new, very high- end, and the amenities are very clean. As for the activities I just see the calendar every month, and they seem to have a lot of activities. The price was a little on the higher end of the range we are looking at, but the convenience of the location wasn't bad.

I really like Barclay Friends. They have care from skilled nursing all the way up to memory care. It was an all-around for all phases of age. The only reason I didn't go there was because they didn't have a room close to dining for my dad. They were just opening up the new building, so I wasn't sure about their amenities. They were just starting to put residents in.

My mother experienced negligence at Barclay Friends in West Chester. The heels of her feet turned black from neglect. She had ulcers on her toes. I discovered it by accident because she her ankles appeared swollen and she seemed distressed. Upon removing her socks, I was horrified at what I saw. I reported the neglect to the State of PA. PA Department of Welfare did an investigation. Their findings were that Barclay Friends neglected the care of my mother. She has since died. By all appearances, the facility is beautiful, but the people who actually take care of the patients are disinterested and indifferent!! I don't normally write review of any kind, but this needs to be said as a warning. Keep a close eye on the people you love!

Barclay Friends was a lovely place. It has limestones that looked very beautiful and the garden areas were extremely beautiful. The food was very good. They have Bridge and board games. The decorations and placement of things were very good for a senior place.

I visited the Barclay Friends. It was a very nice, small, intimate, and high-end facility. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming.
