I am a friend or relative of a resident
The staff was very nice to visitors upon arrival and did seem to make attempts at forging a friendly relationship between family members and themselves. However; the care provided at this facility seemed lacking at times. I know it can be very frustrating caring for the elderly, but they are in your care and require your complete attention when you are caring for them. No slips in concentration or loss of temper is tolerable. The amenities of the facility are fantastic. Great view, beautifully cared for grounds, and the rooms themselves are finely furnished. The food is fantastic! I have actually spent Thanksgiving with my Grandfather at this facility and i have to say. For an assisted living facility the food was above average. The cooking staff goes above and beyond for their residents. The management staff at Emeritus at the Oaks does a fair job of keeping family member visits in order. There was one occasion where i went to see my Grandparents only to find that one of my uncles had taken them out for the day.
