I toured Bridgewater Assisted Living Tucson. What I liked most about it was the little patio outside. Each living area had a patio. I liked their room arrangement. I also liked that it was all one story. They had nice sidewalks outside where you could walk. My daughter really liked this one the best, mainly because of the patios. The staff who gave us the tour was very courteous and really welcomed us. The dining area looked very nice. They had a little snack area where they served coffee. They had transportation available on certain days.

Friendship Villas was a great place to live for my relative--until they were purchased by Solterra. There is nothing good about it now. The food is terrible, the rooms are minimally cleaned. The linens we purchased for his room never came back. His bed is an extra long and those sheets were never on the bed once they were laundered. We had his name embroidered on his towels thinking it would help the caregivers return them to his room, but it didn't. Never saw them again. He had two watches stolen. Some of the caregivers were excellent and we were grateful for their caring. The caregivers were actually told their job was not to be friends with the residents. My relative became so ill when there, we moved him. His health dramatically improved in his new residence. The management was minimally responsive--just try to get anyone on a phone. Its nearly impossible. I could go on, but won't. Do not even think of putting a friend or relative in this place.

Solterra (Friendship Villas at La Cholla) is beautiful and very well kept-up. It seemed to have a very good patient to healthcare ratio. The food is excellent. My sister hasn't had very many complaints about her care. The facility seems to have a lot of activities for their people, like bingo and people who come in to sing and play the piano, so it's very nice for my sister to stay busy. They brought in a vocalist yesterday and had a game afternoon. They have ice cream socials once a month. It's a very clean facility, and the rooms are very nice.

Friendship Villas at La Cholla is fine, and I have no complaints. The staff seems friendly, and my mother gets good care. She's clean, and they are ready to do whatever is best to help her. She's in a room with another client. The room is clean, bright, and has 2 windows, and my mom's bed is changed and made every day.

When my 94 year old mother (affectionately called Great Grandma or "GG") went into the hospital in November 2014, it was clear to my wife and I that GG would not be able to return to her assisted living studio apartment, so we began looking for a location that provided the care that was needed by GG. We are so glad that we were referred to Friendship Villas. From the moment we arrived we were treated with kindness and compassion. It was as if we and the caregivers had known each other for a long time. We truly felt as if GG (and my wife and I) were being taken care of by family. When Hospice needed to become involved in caring for GG, they worked seamlessly with the FV staff. GG went to be with Jesus on January 27. We were so fortunate that GG got to spend the last month of her life at Friendship Villas, and we have given it our highest recommendation. The Friendship Suite GG was in was perfect and the cost was reasonable. All of the staff were very friendly and professional.

Friendship Villas at La Cholla was less expensive. I just got a really good feeling about it when I went there and talked to the management person. It gave me the feeling of being in a dorm, except it was maybe a little homier than the dorm I used to live in when I went to college. There were a lot of residents, but not as many as I would figure at other places. We did check out a couple of other places, but we picked that place because we had to choose something for our mom. We did get to eat an Easter meal and it seemed pretty good. There were times when my sister and I were there and we needed somebody and it was quite hard to find them, so that is just one negative thing. But they seem to be responsive when we do find them. So, yes, I wish they had more caregivers. They have a monthly calendar of activities. Sometimes, they'll have singers and piano players. I think that mom likes the church services because we would visit her on a weekend. Maybe they have one or two activities during the day. I notice they always have an exercise activity in the morning and then they all watch Golden Girls. Her room is good enough for her.

My dad is in Friendship Villas together with his wife. The place is OK. It has small rooms, which are only about 400 square feet, but they are clean, as they come to vacuum and clean them. The food is average and OK. The dining area is not the greatest, but it's also OK. However, the staff is excellent.

This facility is unsurpassed when it comes to the care of their residents. From the Executive Director, Nurse and Caregiving Staff, Activities and Business Office, you couldn't be treated any better than from these folks. The facility is absolutely beautiful and everyone their takes so much pride in their jobs. I wouldn't think of putting my parents anywhere else.

This facility is a group of four villas with about 16 apartments each. The villas are beautiful and well maintained. There is desert landscaping as well as trees and shrubs. The apartments are stufios with a bedroom, living room with private bathe and patio. There is an elegant dingroom and kitchen in each set of villas. The rooms are all handicapped equipped and have cable and phone included. There is a movie room, activities, computer room, and a small library. They offer three meals a day and snacks. The food is very good. They do a variety of diets and try offer some choices to the menu. They do all three levels of care. They have doctorss who come in and nurses on staff and call. There are med techs and certified caregivers. They have an activity staff. They do not offer transport. The staff seems happy and caring. There are lots of in house activities with an exercise program, games, movies, entertainment and parties. The only draw back I can see is the transport.

Right when we walked into the door we were welcomed and given fresh tea. The fecility was well staffed with level 3 caregivers, and all were very kind and helping, the caregivers also went out of there ways to assist the residents. The tour of the fecility was breath taking, very well maintanced, top of the line appliances. It reminded me of a resort home setting, that i know my dad would enjoy. The fecility also has 24/7 med tech's and caregivers, and an on call registered nurse. The residents were very active in all the activitys the fecility provided. The residents also recieve 3 well prepared meals, and can enjoy there food either in the dining room setting with all the other residents, or can get there meals delivered to there rooms. Friendship villas was a very nice fecility and i would recommend this fecility..

I visited the facility after finding out that my grandmother had Alzheimer's. I needed to find somewhere that would provide her with proper care. I had a tour of the facility and enjoyed it very much. It seemed to be very clean and had extremely nice and fancy furniture. Each room seemed to be equipped with exactly what each resident would need. The employees seemed pleasant and seemed to really care about each and every resident. The residents seemed happy and comfortable. Everyone greeted me with a friendly welcome. There was a cook in the kitchen preparing the residents' meals and it appeared that they made sure to cook a meal with much variety to ensure the residents got enough nutrients. I was also able to experience the residents doing activities in which they seemed to be having a fun time. Overall the place was pleasant and I believe the residents receive proper care.
