I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister has moved into Silverwoods. It's very cheerful and very pleasant looking. They have security, so it's very safe. It's very clean and very neat. It just looks like a very homey place, a comfortable place you would like to stay. The staff is very efficient, and any questions that we had, they were either calling us back or we met with them. They were exceptionally comfortable with us. They offer all kinds of crafts and trips. There's a clubhouse that they can go to onsite. There is a restaurant where you can go and have your breakfast and lunch. If not, they will deliver it for you. Everything about it was very, very nice. She has eaten at the clubhouse, and she said it was very good. She's very comfortable there. She has her own facility and she's not alone. There are other folks around if she wants to socialize.

SilverWoods was a very nice place, and they had a lot of amenities there. It's definitely a good assisted living. I'd like to get a roommate and get a two-bedroom; but to start out, I can maybe afford a studio. It's a gated community, and it's very clean. The rooms were pretty up-to-date and very clean as well. They had a restaurant there and all kinds of meal plans and everything else if I wanted it. They had activities, and they set up trips. The staff was very nice and very informative in talking to me about the place. They took me around and showed me all the apartments. I did not eat there, but I can set up an appointment to go there on a Tuesday and have lunch there. They have a gym, an indoor pool, physical therapy, and transportation if you want to go somewhere (shopping or anything like that). It's a very good area. They had basically everything you would need.

SilverWoods was very good and very clean. I was amazed at how quiet it was, and it looked great. I saw the dining room, and they have a swimming pool. If we're ready to move, that might be where we'll go. The staff seemed knowledgeable. What I liked the most was there was no sales pressure, "This is what we got, this is what we cost" and that was it. They have activities, but we didn't get into them. We just looked at the place itself. They were very friendly.

We have chosen Silverwoods for my sister-in-law. It's independent living. It was the right price and was all brand new. They totally renovate the apartment when someone moves in, so that was really nice. There was new flooring, new cabinets, and a full kitchen. For someone who can't cook for themselves anymore, they can either have meals delivered to them or they can go to the dining room. The staff is very good. Someone checks on her every day. She calls to say whether she's coming to the dining room or whether she's having food delivered. If she doesn't call, they call her. They didn't get a call the other day and they were very good about checking on her. They went to the apartment and knocked on the door. There was a problem with her phone, so they're very good there. The nurse does that. She said the food was good. The facility was very nice. They do a very nice job. The clubhouse is beautiful, and the dining room is beautiful. They have great amenities and an indoor pool. The rent is very affordable, but you have to pay separate for dining and bus transportation. There are other activities, like bus trips, but she didn't sign up for that. I've only had dealings with the nurse, and she was wonderful. She's more than the nurse. She really takes care of them and makes sure everybody is where they need to be. The rent sounds great when you look at those packages, but you can't just pay rent. You have to take advantage of some of the amenities, and you have to do at least three. It is all added to your rent every month, which is not bad.

My parents are at Silverwoods Adult Living and everything has been great. Everyone's been nice, very caring, great, wonderful, and they seemed to care about their residents. During COVID, there's really not any activities going on right now, and I am hoping things will pick up once it's gone. The food could be better though. To me, all of these facilities are expensive, but I think Silverwoods Adult Living is on the lower end.

My dad has moved into The Haven at Siverwoods. It's clean and the staff is very receptive and attentive. The food is not fancy or gourmet, but it's wholesome. They have movies, arts and crafts, bingo, barbeques, singalongs, and music.

The room we saw at The Haven at Silverwoods looked like a nun's room. It had a single bed and wasn’t really in order. There were lots of things on the floor because it was someone's room. They should've shown us an empty room or a neater room. The exercise room didn't have equipment in it at all. They had a game room in which they were playing bingo. The woman who was talking with us wasn't very well spoken since she kept forgetting her words.

Everybody at Haven at Silverwoods ate in a dining room setting, and they gave you your medication. The only lady who did the tour was nice. They had activities. The place was clean and didn’t have an odor to it.

My parents used to live in Silverwoods. Nothing stood out for me, and the staff was OK. The apartment they were staying in was OK. They need more security and better cleanliness.

What The Haven had was good. You could live by yourself as long as you could take care of yourself. If you couldn't take care of yourself anymore and you needed more nursing or more care, they had another section you could move right into. So you wouldn't have to go look for another place. It was beautiful with lot of lights in the room. The grounds were well-kept with a big clubhouse. The people who would show you around would give you information that you should have to make a good decision.

The Haven at Silverwoods was very nice. The apartments were very nice, and the staff was very friendly. The dining room was excellent, and the chef was wonderful. They have a community center, they play cards, the people go on trips on a shuttle, they have a indoor swimming pool and different activities every month. I like the location.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My neighbor's wife is at The Haven at Silverwoods with severe Parkinson's. I have gone there a few times to visit, and it is very clean, very large, and quite spread out. It is a new facility, so it is very clean, but they just keep the residents medicated. They have them all circled around the nursing station, and they are all medicated out. As a matter of fact, my neighbor had to request that they stop medicating his wife. The rooms are kept very clean though. I was only there a couple of times visiting, and from what I've seen, everything was very nice.

Silverwoods was recommended by one of my coworkers. Their rooms were bigger than where my dad is. The dining room was small. They had a salon, but not a swimming pool. The place is one story, but it is very spread out, so that wasn't good for my dad. It is all on one-level, but everything is spread out, so where he would have to go, he has a long way to get there.

The Haven at Silverwoods was a little more expensive than what I wanted to pay at this time, but it was very nice and clean. They had private rooms, and they also had buses and pools, but for each amenity you pay extra. They had two bedrooms with a nice kitchen and a dining room. For assisted living, it was very nice.

I found the people in Silverwoods to be very caring. Their apartments are on one floor. They greet all the residents by name. You can also move up to assisted living, where you can get a nurse to come in to help you for a short term. There's also a nursing home facility on the property.

The Haven was close to my house and where I worked. The place was nice. The staff were amenable. My dad was in a studio apartment which was okay. I did not try their foods. The communication to the family and relative needed improvement. Other than that, he was happy there than in a nursing home.

My Father-in-law is a resident of this facility. up until Hurricane Sandy I had no reason to complain or praise the service we are paying for. but he was evacuated when the Haven lost power due to Sandy. I guess he was lucky because Hven staff called my wife to come pick him up, the other residents are on cot in a nursing home somewhere. I cannot believe a business like this does not have a backup generator. I also cannot believe how rude and defensive the staff got when my wife and I asked them about it. Instead of listening to us the staff first lied about even having a generator, then that it was down for repairs, then we were told it was not big enough. If i could give a negative review I would. I am also actively looking for another facility to place my father-in-law in. I can tolerate mediocre care, but not being lied to.
