I had a relative live in this facility for two years and had ongoing concerns about the attention my family member received at The Oaks / Spring Arbor. Although this is one of the nicer facilities in the area, I felt that the staff was inexperienced and not well-trained, there appeared to be a high rate of turnover, the ratio of staff to residents was clearly not adequate (although it was likely compliant with state guidelines), I did not feel that checks and balances were in place with regard to medication administration and quality of care, and I never felt that care was personalized to the needs of the individual residents. The facility is very nice, and the sales staff was very convincing, but outward appearances can be deceiving. Please note that some of the caregivers at this facility were great and seemed genuinely committed to the residents, but those few individuals could not carry the full burden.
