I visited this facility

Palm Terrace Assisted Living & Adult Day Care is excellent. I volunteer there for activities. My church was volunteering before the pandemic and stuff like that. The customer service is great. It's a very homey place, and the residents are really well taken care of. They have their group activities, they have a beauty salon, they have arts and crafts, they have card games, and they have puzzles and reading materials.

My mother lives here! It is a great community with lots of amenities. The Activities department provide a high level of energy despite the pandemic. They are following safety measures to keep her COVID free!! We are so thankful. The staff is very compassionate and always helpful to my mother. When my mother wasn't feeling well, the staff brought her meals to her room. Even placed a special dessert in there to make my mother smile. The administration staff are always available to answer any and all questions I may have. I am really happy we chose Palm Terrace for my mother. And so is she! Thank you everyone!!

I was looking for a place for my aunt that's secure as opposed to living by herself, where she will be taken care of, will provide the meals and the housekeeping, and have some activities. Palm Terrace has those as opposed to the others that I looked at. The surroundings are better, and it's the only place that had the private room accommodation I wanted for her. Everybody seems to do their job, they're receptive to questions and criticisms, and they're helpful. She said the food is good. They have a variety of activities like singing and games. It's a valuable alternative to other facilities and an option for placing someone who's not able to care for themselves. It's a secure surrounding.

I visited this facility

I visited Palm Terrace. It was fine and there was no problem. The lady who was running it was super nice. She was very helpful. Unfortunately, my mom could not be placed there because they do not do memory care. However, the staff member was more than helpful in pointing me in a different direction. The rooms are fine. They're livable for two. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. They have some activities. Overall, they're excellent. It was the first place that I went to and it was my first choice. Unfortunately, they were not able to assist my mom. The people I met there and what they do for their residents looked exciting. They were super nice. I found everything to be in order.

We placed our grandmother a few months back and the process was relatively easy. Very friendly and helpful staff. The facility itself is very clean and easy to navigate .

Our experience so far has been wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive. We worried so much about moms move to a facility but she is settling in beautifully and seems to really like it here. I am so appreciative of the people and the help and kindness they show my mom here

My mother has parkinson's disease and most of the staff did not seem educated with what needs were required for that illness. The turn over there is terrible. Most of the staff just "went through the motions" and couldnt be bothered with offering any sort of compassion or understanding. She was kicked out after a year, when the facility needed her room for someone that their employees didnt have to be *bothered with*.

Provider Response

Dear “We Love our Mom”, Thank you for your feedback. As you are probably aware, we are regulated by the Agency Health Care Administration (AHCA). All our staff are trained based on those regulations. Unfortunately with your mother’s condition, she required more care than what our license allows us to provide. We provided your mother with the required 45 day notice and offered our assistance with finding her better placement. We worked closely with you and your mother to find a good alternative for her. We are committed to helping our residents maintain their independence and ensure the highest quality of care. The moment an employee does not share the same sentiment, we part ways with them. We have a very strong culture of dignity and compassion for our residents. We thank you again for your feedback and are so grateful to know she is getting the care she needs.

From day one I felt that this was the place where my father belongs. From David the previous Administrator who talked with me and made me feel welcomed and understood. To Jarreta the admissions director who always checked on how my dad was doing and worked so hard to make sure he had the right insurance and coverage. To the staff of CNA's and Kelly the med tech who cared for my dad with a smile and patience. Kelly even gave him a big hug the first night we were there realizing how much pain he was in and how much he needed to feel welcomed. The facility is clean and beautiful and full of smiles and warmth. The food was great too especially for one picky eater like my father with choices of fresh fruit, salads, and alternative meals when he just felt like something special. I am very happy to have met such a warm and loving family which the staff at Palm Terrace is.

I would just like to take this opportunity to let you know how TRULY thankful I am for Palm Terrace Assisted Living Facility and some of their AMAZING staff! When I began the serious discussions with my mother about a possible move to an ALF I contacted and spoke with Jaretta (in admissions and marketing) who was SO kind, passionate and responsive to any and all of mine, and my mother's, questions. Jaretta was even so sweet as to let my mom see the facility a couple of times as she was making her decision. We both REALLY appreciated that. From the time my mother decided to move until the day she actually moved in Jaretta was very king to help us both with answering questions etc. in order to make moving day smooth - which it was I am happy to report. Jaretta stopped by my mother's room before leaving for the day. It also really touched my heart as well that Jaretta reached out to me the night my Mom moved it to make sure she had gotten settled? Talk about "going above and beyond your job". Just reinforced to me that my Mom was in a great place with very caring people. Since the move in and now that she has settled I have not had as many frequent phone calls etc. with Jaretta - but I know that if I had a question or needed help I could call her without hesitation. I would also like to give kudos to Melissa - the resident care director. Melissa was VERY helpful initially with getting my mother's medicines in order. And whenever I need to ask a question about a care need Melissa is always very responsive and caring and helpful! There have been a few times I have called Melissa asking her to talk with my mother about something, or to go check on her, and she has done so right away AND called me back to let me know any updates. Most recently my mom told me she wasn't feeling well so I called Melissa - who in turn sent a doctor up right away who determined she should go to the hospital. I can SO appreciate the prompt and attentive care and concern given to my mom. Again I know that if I need anything related to my mother's care I can call Melissa without hesitation. Another amazing staff member is Anisia - the activities director. Anisia is amazing with the residents! My mother absolutely adores her and spending time in the activities room coloring, socializing, etc. Anisia plans and executes a variety of activities and special events that the residents enjoy. My mom was SO excited July 4 when Anisia planned a special party that day - including some small fireworks for the residents. Talk about fun and special?!?! Anisia also makes sure that the monthly activity calendar is posted and that each resident has one. My mom use to never do any kind of exercise – but since moving in to Palm Terrace she actively participates in chair exercises which is wonderful. The activities are good for the body, mind and spirit. Palm Terrace is not only a beautiful facility, but a clean one! And I believe that the facility and all of the wonderful staff there are a direct reflection of the leadership – and that is David the administrator at Palm Terrace. It is clear that David wants to ensure the people that live there are safe, happy and cared for. If I have ever had any concern at all I know that I can speak to David and it will be handled immediately. I just cannot say enough about Palm Terrace Assisted Living Facility – I truly thank God daily for it! My mom is SO happy there! She has many friends, and can now enjoy not having to clean, cook and keep her medicines straight – as those things are now done for her. This, along with the fact that she is checked on every couple of hours – give her, and me, a tremendous peace of mind! It is a wonderful, clean and beautiful facility with very caring staff – and my Mom is blessed to be there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Several years ago my mother was a resident of Palm Terrace and the family were very pleased with the care she received there. When the need came for my sister to be in an assisted living it was the first place I thought of. From the first meeting with the director David Q., we felt he had her best interests at heart. I have been working with Jarretta L., the admissions director and Melissa A., and they are so kind and informative. They have always returned my calls and given me help in other areas of this process. It takes special people to do what they do on a daily basis and I think they are good at what they do. The home is clean and my sister is getting the care and attention that she needs. She says the food is good and she takes part in activities when she wants. She is where she needs to be to be safe and cared for. Thanks to all of the staff there for making this a nice place to live.

Two weeks ago I moved my mom into Palm Terrace ALF from another ALF facility. I was concerned about the transition for her but I need not have worried. EVERYONE at Palm Terrace has been wonderful to my mom making her feel welcome and helping her adjust to her new home. A special thank you to Jaretta for helping me navigate through all the paperwork and making the move go as seamless as possible. Knowing my mom is in such a nice and caring place has been such a blessing to myself and my family. Thank you Palm Terrace!!

I visited this facility

I was very impressed with the staff at Palm Terrace; they were very friendly. They were under construction, but they were trying to make good arrangements for the residents. They had quite a few amenities that I liked. They had a little gift shop. They have a craft room and a TV room. I was more impressed with that facility. They were eating in the atrium area, but it seemed fine. The shared rooms have a shared living room, but they each have their own bedroom with a door that can be closed, and I found it more convenient.

When placing your loved one, especially one’s parents , it is hard to trust that the place you choose is the right one. But when I chose Palm Terrace, I knew right away that it was the right place for my mother and I have not regretted this decision for a minute. The staff is wonderful!

Family friend/relative

I have found very nice things to say about palm Terrace. Although their Serivice is a bit lacking the time frame and the mail Box key is not given to my parent who stays there I see this place is a wonderful caring place there is not a thing bad about here at all.
