Alimar Assisted Living

I visited this facility

Alimar is a fairly decent Assisted Living Facility; however I would not recommend it to everyone as I found when I visited the facility that 90% of the residents and 100% of the staff were for the Hispanic population. When I was there in November 2011, I noticed that all of the residents were sitting outside enjoying the sun and nature. The walkway was very narrow and difficult to get through if you were to be using a wheelchair or perhaps a walker or cane. Also the small facility sits right next to a very busy street and busy intersection so the traffic noise was deafening. I was able to look inside several resident’s rooms and noticed they were extremely small, but would be large enough for just one resident, also their television’s were tuned up quite loudly to drown out the outside noises. Out of five stars I would rank the outside area a one star, the common area a one star, the resident’s rooms a two star, the staff a two star and the quality of care a two star. Overall I would give Alimar ALF a rating of 2 stars due to the noise level, only one staff person on property, not adequate room to be able to move around, no amenities whatsoever, the parking was horrible and the grounds and upkeep on the premises were not well maintained.
