I visited this facility

When we first arrived for our tour we were very impressed with the outside of the place. There were a number of people sitting outside and enjoying the sun, and the chairs and couches looked very comfortable.Inside the first thing we noticed was the lack of any bad smell. I can tell you from experience that even when these places are kept very clean, they still have a smell of urine or whatever. This facility was spotless. We were greeted by a staff member who offered to tour us around. We decided to check it out on our own initially.There were many groups of people moving around and doing things such as watching television, reading, and playing cards. It was good to see that the residents spent time out of their rooms. We saw the dining area and kitchens which were very clean and organized. The rooms were a little small, but very nice. We spoke to some residents who all expressed their satisfaction with the level of care and some of them also mentioned that the medical staff was very good. There were alot of staff members present and all were considerate and helpful. One lady told her that this was the third place she had moved to, and that the food was better than some restaurants. After looking around on our own we asked a nurses aid to show us some more of the place. She walked us all around and we left very impressed both with her kindness and professionalism. In the long run we choose a different place, but for reasons both personal and specific to my father in law. If I or another family needed to be in this type of place again, I would not hesitate to choose Clare Bridge.

Excellent care, caring staff and clean, comfortable, attractive environment and surroundings. Good choice for your loved one with Alzheimers' disease, up to the point where long-term placement in a nursing home is required.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I had a friend who lived at this facility. I liked Clairebridge because it is neat and tidy. This facility is very large and the roomy. When you walk in to the facility, it feels like a home away from home. It does not smell as though you are walking into a toilet or a medical facility. The staff seems to care about their patients. The medications are given to the patients in a timely manner. The doors are secured with a key-punching locking alarm system to keep patients safe. Those with progressive mental condition, such as Alzheimer's are attended to appropriately. The facility temperature was cozy and comfortable. It was not too hot or not to cold. It also had lots of window to let the sun shine in. The colors within the facility were inviting and uplifting. When you look around it is just the perfect facility for family member and friends.
