We did not have a great experience with this facility. As with all things, it had its pros and cons. The facility is in a renovated home, and it had a very homey feel. Most residents, my mother included, have a private room with a private bathroom. Electricity and cable television were included in each month's rent. We paid for our own telephone service. The meals were usually good and fairly nutritious. During the day there was usually plenty of help, but no one had more than a CNA certificate. At night, there would only be one person working. I do not feel this was sufficient for the number of residents (around 50) or the size of the facility. There should have been a worker in each wing of the facility at night. In fact, my mother had a massive stroke at around 10:45 one night. Luckily, the CNA happened to be close enough to her room to hear her when she fell. Had she been in another part of the facility, no one would have found her until the next morning. That was the last night she spent there. When she finally got out of the hospital, we moved her to a nursing home with round-the-clock nurses.
