Poplar Place

I visited this facility

The Poplar Place assisted living facility is conveniently located in South Milwaukee, which would work well for our aunt.

The exterior was lovely and the grounds were beautifully landscaped. The tree-lined walkways looked easy to navigate for seniors. The decor of the entire facility was quite nice.

There were ample communal rooms including a library, media room, craft and multi-purpose rooms where seniors could easily socialize, and participate in games and other stimulating activities.

The residents may safely navigate the lovely grounds for exercise outdoors. The exercise center includes daily yoga and aerobics exercise classes. The equipment is available throughout the day and they also supervise the seniors for their safety.

The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The dining room was nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled appetizing.

The residents are taken to many interesting cultural events in the region, from art to music and art gatherings regularly. The many planned activities feature everything from exercise classes to book readings, arts and craft, shopping, theater and films.

The staff seemed very attentive and we could easily see how any senior would really enjoy living in this comfortable and caring environment.
