I visited this facility

This was an Assisted Living Facility for individuals who are Mentally Retarded and or Developmentally Disabled. I found the staff to be quite caring and helpful. Each individual was treated with the upmost respect and dignity. I enjoyed my time there. The clients all had specific daily schedules and objectives set into place in order to assist them in learning to live freely in the community. Most staff I saw there really showed love and support to these individuals and seemed to really try to make sure they received the best quality of care. The individuals seemed very happy and to enjoy being in the facility. Clients were to learn many different objectives, such as; doing their own laundry, dishes, writing letters, making scrap books, brushing their own hair, proper hand washing techniques, taking pictures, calling family on the phone and even participated in the Special Olympics Basketball team! This seemed to be an excellent Assisted Living Facility!
