The Colonnade an Oakdale Heights Community

The facilities available to residents of the Colonnade were good. There is a nice garden area, a home-like dining room, a library, a small area for having snacks and watching television with family members, a beauty shop, and areas for physical activity. Recreational trips are planned weekly, with a variety of activities available. Social activities are planned by staff and residents themselves. It is a good place for those who want to maintain a lot of social activity. For the most part, the staff at the Colonnade are dedicated and treat residents like family members. As with any facility of this kind, it is wise for residents' family to keep a close eye on the care their loved ones are receiving. There were a few minor incidents that required advocacy by our family in order to make sure my family member's needs were being met, but these incidents were neither major nor frequent.
