The decision to place a loved one out of their home is hard but if you have to, John -Wesley would be the facility to look into. The level of care and compassion shown residents while I was there was second to none. The staff is 100% were compassionate and caring like no other witnessed. Simply put they CARE! I asked one staff member what the difference was in their co-workers and she said they all put their selves in the place of the residents and realize that by the grace of God therefore go I. They truly believe do unto others as I would have them do unto me. They want to make sure your loved one knows they matter and are important. The residents were bright and alert most of them and active. They have dementia and Alzheimer’s trained staff and if needed. The facility is clean and the lobby and common areas are nicely decorated. John-Wesley is a beautiful facility where residents feel at home. I would place my love one here if skilled nursing is required. The staff is amazing and well educated and competent. There are many activities such as family fun days, socials, dining out, movie night with Popcorn and snacks, arts and crafts and Bingo. Dining here is a true treat, the food is amazing and well thought out with healthy options and choices. Sweet Tea is a staple and a must with your meal here. There is no room for anyone to become isolated or disengaged here. All are included and if there is a problem staff is designated to reach out to keep some from isolating. This is a wonderful facility and warms my heart that Southern Hospitality is not a thing of the past. You feel it the moment you walk into this facility. Savannah charm is alive and well in this facility in the residents and staff. I highly recommend.
