I visited this facility

Hamilton House is a beautiful home converted into an assisted living home for seniors. The staff was observed showing kindness and compassion toward the residents. Because this is a small Facility the activity calendar is not as extensive as some of the larger Senior Communities. The residents were clean, bright and were alert. The home was clean and well decorated as well as the grounds were well manicured nicely landscaped. There were several visitations going on during my visit with family visiting their loved ones. The families were given space with their loved ones for their visit. Staff was very attentive and helpful toward the guest. It was very clear that the residents in this facility were well cared for by the staff I observed. This is key in choosing a facility as you place a loved family member. I would place my loved on here the staff is very compassionate, kind and caring. The menu is a plus as the staff responsible for cooking meals loves to cook. The staff stated that they love to come to work just to see what the meals are going to be for the day. They said the cook is an amazing cook who love family style dining so everyone staff included eats together at all meals. This is a very nice touch and I observed a tender moment between staff and a resident that was being moved to another facility due to need based medical. The senior was upset about the move mild dementia and did not really understand what was going on. The staff member prayed with the senior and this seem to calm her down. I was moved by the gesture to give her spiritual comfort and peace…this was above and beyond. A+ to that staff for their amazing extra effort to their resident.
