Diamond Lodge

I visited this facility

While driving through San Francisco to visit friends, we decided to stop in and visit Diamond Lodge, since we were looking for an assisted living facility where our aunt could live.

We were impressed that they could accommodate our last-minute visit. The area is convenient for our aunt, who has many friends in the area.

We saw residents of all ambulation levels and the seniors all seemed to be well cared for, content and engaged in their lives.

We could see that there was space to have outdoor social gatherings and picnics. The grounds outside offer easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely each day.

The seniors can easily socialize, make crafts, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. Communal activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture.

Activities and outings included local sight seeing, group studies, musical events, guest speakers, shopping, educational seminars, celebrations, exercise programs, parties and games.

The many activities included a calendar of events with many stimulating activities like fun ways to exercise with nature walks and other excursions and the opportunity to enjoy all that San Francisco offers.

Residents can take exercise classes such as yoga and aerobics, or use the weight training and other equipment. The residents are encouraged to enjoy physical activity as much as possible.

The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious.

The seniors here really enjoy living here - that was plain to see. The staff is kind, caring and very attentive to all of their needs, whatever they happened to be.
