The Pointe was very nice. I like all the windows in the atrium area. They had a big outside place. It's like five minutes from my house. The rooms were nice. Some of the people I talked to were happy there. The staff I talked to was very nice and knowledgeable. They had a good-sized room with a private bathroom. It was enough for a bed and a chair. It's a one-bedroom apartment. There's no kitchen or anything. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner, arts, and music.

We toured The Pointe. My mom is going to go into assisted living. It did not feel like I was walking into a nursing home. It felt like walking into an apartment complex. Everything about it is a 10 out of 10. It is clean. Everybody is very warm, and everybody knows everybody. The layout is perfect. It's one story, which I prefer for my mom. It's like out in the country, and so it's like right where she needs to be. The staff who helped me with the tour was fantastic. From what I understand, she's fairly new, but she was very informative and helpful. Everything about the place was good. We looked at where the people were eating. We walked through, and they said hello to us. In terms of activities, they have gardening out in the courtyard, they have bingo, they have movies, they have two field trips a week to go out to eat and to go shopping, they have like an art class, and they have a library. They have a lot of stuff. They're open 24 hours. If I want to show up at midnight and check my mom out, I can.

We toured The Pointe assisted living. It was clean and it seemed like the people were active there. Their cafeteria was nice and the rooms were decent, so I was impressed with that. It's just overall a nice-looking place. They had an outside court area, a pool, and shuffleboard, and they had a lot of different activities going on. The activities were impressive. The staff who assisted me was very thorough and was able to answer any questions I had, so it was a good tour.

Provider Response

Robert, Thank you for the kind words! Our staff understands the importance of keeping our residents active and happy while residing in clean and calm environment.

Nobody seemed to know I was coming when I got to The Pointe. And then when they found out that they knew I was coming, the girl handed me a sheet to fill out and told me to fill the sheet out. I started filling it out and I looked at her and I said, I think she should be filling it out because it was all about me, how I like this or I like that, and I'm going, Well, I haven't even seen anything yet. I don't know how I like anything. It was pretty confusing when I got there. And then the gentleman came out and he was a nurse, and he was very nice and cordial and he showed me all the finer points and they have a little courtyard in the center, and that was about it. And I was not impressed at all. It's across the VA, and that's where I go to do all my medical. But it was clean. It was well laid out. There was no pool. There's a courtyard, and they had a little movie room that was pitiful, it had like three or four chairs. It was pretty depressing. It wasn't happy enough for me.

I did tour The Pointe for my mom. We chose them because they will allow the time frame that we needed, not just 30 days. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I didn't try the food, but they told me how they prepare it. They had quite a bit of option for the residents, and I like that. They had quite a bit of activities, the place was clean, and the staff seemed friendly. It is a little bit far from what I prefer but they have what I wanted, and it's close to everything. It's a good location.

The Pointe was great. It might be one of our choices. The staff was great. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming to us, eager to just tell us a little bit about what they did there. The facilities looked well taken care of. They had a beautiful outdoor area and just every spot we went looked nice. They had planned activities, a game room, a library, and outside areas.

We moved my parents yesterday from another assisted facility in the area and could not be happier. What a difference a day makes. Pedro is amazing, truly an Angel sent from God to intervene when we were about to send dad to a nursing home. He CC assure us they could care for him here. The staff is very friendly and caring, they really know what they are doing.

We chose The Pointe for my mother, and she moved in last Tuesday. It's a beautiful place; I just hate not being able to go see her 'cause she's on quarantine for 14 days. I've delivered things to her, but I've not been able to go to her room, and I won't be able to till next week. They've been very helpful. She'll be able to go out into the garden area later. The director showed me a picture of the window that she has a view out of, and it's a bay window. It's very clean, they've just repainted and redecorated it, and it's very nice. The parking area is right in front, very, very accessible, very nice, and very easy to get into. They're very close to us.

The Pointe is great. This lockdown has made things very difficult for everybody and every institution, but as far as staying in communication and being very supportive, they've been great. My mother tells me they're all very pleasant, and she has very little problems with any of them. It's been shut down, so I have not had a lot of personal experience with them. Those that I have communicated with have all been very pleasant. She has no complaints about her apartment.

We moved my mother-in-law to this facility on March 12 of this year. We cannot tell you how pleased we are with the professionalism of all of the staff and administration. At this time, we are in quarantine over the Covid-19 orders and my mother-in-law could not be in better hands. They have made her feel welcome immediately, and we have not been able to physically see her since she moved in! We speak to her everyday and she reports that she is very happy and so glad to not be in her home alone and scared. She said the chef is excellent and she loves all of her meals. The medical professionals were able to get her right on track with her medications after her not being able to manage them very well on her own in California. We love that she is close by and we no longer have to worry if she is happy. To our surprise and relief, she tells us she never wants to move again and leave these wonderful people.

I was pleasantly surprised at how homey it felt. There were a lot of folks sitting on the front porch enjoying the day. The lady at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. I toured with a gal named Traci and she was a wealth of konwledge and very warm and welcoming. The rooms were very nice with bay windows and showers that were easy to acess safely. There is a very spacious courtyard in the center of building. This was very important for my dad to be able to easily get outside and enjoy the day. The other thing I liked was the size. It is not so large it is confusing or overwhelming for dad. Everyone who I saw on my tour greeted men and was very nice. I also liked that there were a lot of folks out and about not just staying in their rooms. Dad needs to stay busy so this felt like a perfect fit. We will be reserving a room.

It is a really clean, smaller community than the other one I visited. The people there are really nice. AIl the rooms are also very clean, and it seems everybody has everything together and everything is taken care of. The staff members are pleasant, I was there to look at the assisted living level. To me it's very homey and has a nice setting. I like that it's a smaller community. They have many activities and there's always something to do every day. They have live music, bingo, book clubs, and take the residents out, so there's a lot.

We chose it for my father. It was convenient since they're across the street from the VA hospital, as well as centrally located from both my brother and me. I like the place, the amenities, the setup, and the people who work there. I like the room size, and the view of the courtyard he has from his room's bay window. It's a large room with a large bathroom. I liked how the facility is one big circle, so they can't get lost, and his room is not far from the dining room and the TV room.

I went for an outside party, and it was very nice. They have a lovely courtyard which was very private because the building goes around it. It's small and cozy, there's not many people there so you won't get lost in the shuffle. They have a calendar of activities and every day is full. One day they would take you to Walmart, the next to a plaza, or different places of interest around the city. They also have card games, a hair dresser, and a library. After I visited there, they gave me an invitation to go to lunch.

It was very homey, and everybody knew everybody. The memory care unit had a lot of things out like a tool box, hats, scarves, and jewellery -- things that would maybe appeal to people. They had a social director who read to people and asked questions so it would stimulate the higher functioning people to participate. I asked the woman in charge of kitchen and food if they can make exceptions, and they said they could. The rooms were older but still pleasant, and the memory care was worth looking at because of all the activities, and there weren't many people, just maybe 9.

We choose it because there aren't too many people there. They have only about 60 to 75 residents. It is fully remodeled, and easy for my father to get around. I meet some of the residents, and they seem very happy. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The neighborhood is very good. It has a lot of new businesses going around. It is straight across the street is the VA center. The neighborhood is very nice. The food is very good. The place is very clean, very roomy, and updated. We look at some of the activities. They have outings to the baseball games. They have crafts activities. They have transportation to the mall and various stores.

I went for a visit, and it's a very nice facility. Everything is nice, but it's also on a busy street. I would recommend this facility if they are OK with a place that is on a busy street.

It is right across the street from a hospital. Very small facility, convenient to the hospital and to the new Wal-Mart. It was good. The staff is very good. The women waitresses were good and there was a young lady there at the desk that is superb. She couldn’t be better. The rooms were small. I would think it would be more appropriate for one person. We have two and we need a 2-bedroom apartment and it’s just a little too small for us. It’s a very good thing but it’s just not what we need.

The layout of the place was nice. They have a nice dining room and a nice enclosed patio area. The staff was good. They were forthcoming though. When I told them why I didn't pick them, that their rooms looked like hotel rooms, they agreed. They did say that it was the most common complaints they have. I also met with the head chef. He was more than happy to drag us into the kitchen and show us anything we want.
