I went to American House East II and had an excellent tour. Jade is a wonderful help. The facility was a little aged, but it was clean and neat. It was in good condition. They have a great menu. They have a library and transportation. They have a lot of activities for the residents. They were very knowledgeable and very friendly.

American House East II was a very nice place, but a little overpriced for us. The tour was very good. It's a single story. It looked clean and very well-kept. You had to pay separately for your electricity and heat. If you have your phone and television, it wasn't included in the price, and that's why it was a little too pricey for us. I liked it, though. The staff was awesome. She was wonderful, very nice, and knowledgeable. We saw the menu and the dining area. It was very nice. It was like being in a restaurant.

My dad moved into American House East II. I love it. Great staff and well staffed. They're good at scheduling with him. Everybody is good from the administrative to the nurses and everything. So far, so good, I'm loving it. So far, everything is very clean. I haven't seen any being out of place. It's a nice size. The bathrooms were a nice size because he's in a wheelchair, so he's able to get in and out of the restroom. Nice balcony, flower pots, and stuff for him to put flowers on, and it's very quiet on the floor. So that's what we like. He likes the food. He's been receiving the meals. He's been going down now. Last week, at the beginning of the week, they brought his meals to him so that he could get adjusted. And so I think yesterday was the first time he went down for his meals. No complaints. They have services where somebody could come in. They have a bus that takes them to the different places, the store, and they have a calendar that they make every month. They have a chapel on site. My dad's room is right next to the chapel. They have Sunday services and then I think they have arts and crafts two or three times a week. They have a lot of activities going on throughout the week.

I liked the atmosphere at American House East II. The staff and guests all seemed very happy. It seemed like they enjoyed themselves there. The staff was very expressive of the qualities they had, freely answered the questions we asked, was very, very pleasant, and very positive. The dining room staff were busy in preparation for the supper meal and they worked well together. They all had smiles on their faces. I was just impressed with the cheerfulness of the place. They have a craft room (which interested me), a library, and all sorts of activities tucked in nooks and corners.

American House offered a great value. All the extras that are included in the rent was a good match for my 92 year old mother. She has only been there for a week but has no complaints about the food, staff or facilities. She is an outgoing person and started making friends day 1. She was also able to stay in respite care while we set her actual apartment up for her.

I recommend American House East ll. They were the most accommodating, knowledgeable, caring people I have ever come across. They answered all my questions. They took their time. They knew the stress I was going to, and I just cannot recommend any more of a beautiful place than that facility with those people who work there. Everything looked very neat, very clean looking. I didn't see anything wrong with any of the facilities at all. It was wonderful. I was in the common area, and one time there was a gentleman doing some kind of demonstration or lecture, and there were quite a few people in attendance just listening.

American House East II is just right down the street from me, so it's convenient for us. My auntie moved in there and so far everybody's been great. I went to another American House too, and the staff over here is much more accommodating and more interactive with the residents. It was just a better atmosphere. It's nice. It's clean and well kept, and more traditional, while the other one was more modern. Over here, you can have your own balcony, and they have a garden where you can plant your own flowers. So, it is more of my auntie style. She loves the food too, and they have a lot of activities. They were doing exercises yesterday, then they have an Elvis impersonator coming on Thursday. They have a beauty salon, a doctor, and physical therapy. They have a whole calendar of activities. It costs, but everything's working out, so that's good.

I went to visit American House East II. It seemed to be pretty clean. They seemed like they were pretty attentive to the patients there, although the cost was just too expensive. I saw one of the rooms. They have shared rooms and they have single, apartment-style rooms; they are like a small efficiency-type apartment. The room is clean. There is not a lot of space, but when you're getting older and you're sickly, I don't think you care about space. The one thing I did see that I liked was that it was very clean, and that's very important. They have a library of sorts, and they have a person who comes in and does their hair. It was like a small beauty parlor; it's one room with a chair. They also do activities like arts and crafts, they have games and things, and they watch movies. They have different things like that. It feels pretty homey, and maybe even comfortable. The staff seemed to be really nice. They seemed to be very polite and very understanding. I thought the place was very clean.
