Callahan Village

One of the things I love most about this facility is the outstanding quality of care and service provided by each and every staff member to each and every resident each and every day without excuse or fail. The way the staff members encourage and support and work with the residents is truly something special and brings back my faith in senior living communities. It is inspiring to see a care team that really knows each resident personally. If you go up to a staff member and say a name of the resident they will without hesitation be able to list of care needs, preferences, likes and dislikes, personalities, family situations, health status and history, allergies, you name it. Doing this has become like a little game for me, I am just always so amazed by how much the staff know about each resident. It makes me confident in knowing that the residents are receiving the best care and service possible.

Out of everyone - residents, family members, friends, etc. - that I have ever chatted with regarding the community has always had wonderful comments about the community, the staff, resident care/treatment, and so on. I have had very few complaints about the community and NONE of them have been regarding the care or treatment of the residents.

The facility is designed wonderfully, everything is very accessible and convenient. There are spacious common areas and many amenities, services, options, and opportunities to keep the residents active, entertained, and to make their lives as easy and stress-free as possible. There is an outstanding activity and event schedule that the residents can enjoy on a daily basis. The residents all get a long very well and really enjoy spending time together. They especially love all of the group activities, outings, and everything else that requires group participation.

The community is beautiful and comfortable, inside and out, every area provides a peaceful and ideal environment to chat with friends and spend time with family. That's another thing that's great about this community - how involved families are, I always see them hanging out around the facility, participating in activities, enjoying the special events and celebrations, and so much more. They are welcome to visit when they want and for as long as they please, within reason, I mean if they want to hang out around the facility all day - they are more than welcome, there is just a difference between visiting and moving in and some of the family members are very close to blending those lines as they are always there, but you know what? I think it's fantastic when families are that involved in their loved ones lives and I hope they continue to visit that often!

To close, I think that everything about Callahan Village is something to admire, sure they have their quirks, but every facility does, the difference is that Callahan Village faces any issues and conflicts head on and they don't back down until a resolution is found. They really go to bat for their residents and are always bringing before them new options, opportunities, and things that will make their quality of life within the community as perfect as possible. I highly recommend that you not pass up an opportunity to visit Callahan Village, they really are truly exceptional in so many ways.
