I visited this facility
I have visited San Judas Group Home many times. In general, Â I though San Judas was a good home for the clients that they take.
The curb appeal is not the greatest. The house is located down a cul de sac street and at the end of the street there's a ditch that is an eyesore. The community is not a great one but you can see the changes as the city starts to rebuild the surrounding areas. The backyard was simple but cute and did its purpose. The common areas of the facility has that homelike feel to it, the living room is nicely decorated, the den has nice cozy furniture with a nice entertainment area for residents to enjoy movies, but the lighting is dim. The residents' rooms are a good size but are pretty bland.Â
The staff was ok, they assisted the residents if they needed them too. I never really met the management so I can't speak on that behalf.Â
While I was there, I noticed the residents were washing the dishes, doing laundry, and cleaning. The residents they have there all fit and are all Veterans
Overall, San Judas Care Home is a nice home and I wouldn't recommend it to everyone but I would recommend it to Veterans and anybody who has a dad or grandpa that needs a home in the South Phoenix area and he is pretty mobile this would be a great home.
I give this home four stars because San Judas has their niche down and the know what kind of residents they are experienced to take care of.
