We have chosen Baptist Village of Owasso for my cousin. It's closer to where I work, and the facility is kept up well. There's no deterioration in the rooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, and stuff like that. It's just cleaner. They're well-staffed, too. I had seen the size of the rooms, the hours of the staff, how often is the director of nursing there on site, and the physical therapy area and how often they work with them. I also saw the shower, which was a big deal. The lawn and the outside of the building are all well cared for also. The grounds are well taken care of. I just dropped in to get a tour, so they were very accommodating.

My 80+ yr old mother moved here because her need of care in our home had exceeded our abilities. Sadly, we moved her in at the height of the pandemic and were unable to tour the facility beforehand. We had to base our decision solely on the sterling reputation of Baptist Village. Ours has been a good experience. Mom has bonded very well with the various members of the very caring staff. While it is not a new facility, it certainly seems to be well maintained. I visit twice weekly and always find it clean, warm (or cool - as needed). I have seen the residents engaged in various group activities like Bingo, solitaire, or Birthday gatherings. There is a library, a couple of friendly small birds in the lobby, a small garden spot, a piano, and an electric "fireplace" in the Liberty Place dining room. Mom even said there is a lady that visits with her craft cart to let those who which to participate, join in a craft. I've noticed there are snacks, juice, water, coffee, tea readily available for the folks to enjoy. Again, the staff goes above and beyond to care for the residents. Breakfast and lunch seem to always be heavier than supper. Thus the snacks.

We toured the Baptist Village of Owasso. My mom hated it. It was nice, clean, we looked at an apartment, and it was small. It was functional for a single person, but not for a couple. There wasn't anything wrong with it, she just hated the idea of living in a place like that. The staff was very helpful and very nice. There seemed to be a lot of activities when I was touring and when we took my mom there. It appeared that the residents were involved in the activities.

We went to the Baptist Village of Owasso. We looked at the different levels of care they had in them. They're an older setup. You can tell the years that they were built in by the architecture. You can tell 1970s architecture from 2020 architecture. Some of it was looking dated and everything, but it seemed well taken care of and upkept. The residents seemed happy. It can't compare with the brand new ones for all the latest amenities and everything like that, but it was in very good shape. We went there, toured the rooms, talked to a few of the residents that were out in the hallways, and looked at the cafeteria and things like that, but we really didn't talk a whole lot to the staff. They were well kept up. There was definitely nothing shabby about them. The cafeteria, the apartments, the cabinets in the apartments and everything were 1950s, 1960s and 1970s style. They looked dated, but not shabby. It's kinda like my mom and dad's home. That's the feeling I got with the cafeteria and the apartments. My mom would be perfectly at home in those apartments. They had a courtyard with some barbecue grills and things like that. They had an activity room, but we didn't go through it because there were people in there doing things, and we didn't want to intrude too much. We only spent about two hours max at that place.

I selected Baptist Village of Owasso and I moved in. It's great. With this COVID-19 you don't get to see many people right now, but overall the ones I do see, they're real nice, polite, caring, and take the time and talk to you. It's just a one-bedroom, one-bath with a living room and a kitchen is what I got. It's just right for me, it's just right for one person. I know there's a pond there, they said you could go fishing, I haven't been there yet, but they usually have bingo and bible study. Until all this COVID is done, they're not gonna have too many get togethers, but they have socials. It's a nice facility, it's well kept, everything is groomed and clean, so you can't beat it. It's the cheapest one I found.

My mother moved into Baptist Village of Owasso. It wasn't as nice as it should be, but they offer skilled nursing. It's a nice building.
