Elmcroft of Quail Springs

Hearthstone is a nice facility. They seem to have a really caring staff that watched over my grandma consistently, professionally, and lovingly. The food there appeared to be of good quality, though I didn't actually taste it. The amenities were about like a suite-type hotel. Her room had a full bathroom, mini-kitchen, bed, and living area. It seems like all rooms have windows, which is nice. The facilities seem adequate, if a little outdated. They could probably use a little updating, but it is currently not to the detriment of the facility. Probably the best testament to the facility is that all the residents I saw while I was there seemed to be happy. Often times at nursing homes/assisted-living facilities, you will find it to be a little depressing because the residents seem like they are "on their way out" so to speak. Hearthstone residents showed life, and it was refreshing. I would consider sending my grandma back there if the need arises.

Unfortunately, My family did not read reviews before placing my mom in this facility. She was released from skilled nursing facility but still weak and had increase fall risk. Unfortunately they did not provide any alert monitors and she got up to go to the bathroom, she fell and broke her hip. She laid on the bathroom floor without help. Finally staff came and put her back in bed. I was concerned with the facility because just do not have many residents. Now I know why. The administrators talk a "good" talk about low numbers but should of realized just does not add up. I would look for a different facility and not put my love one here.

Terrible care, the Executive Director is awful and doesn't care about families or employees, in the time I was there the turn over was astronomical. Many employees quit due to management problems. There isn't many residents left, I don't know how this building could stay open. Being sued by multiple families. Stay far away.
