My mother had a beautiful private room. The staff could not have been any more professional or compassionate. There were plenty of activities. All the staff went above and beyond to make Mom's stay a positive experience. I wish there were more than 5 stars to give.

This is the worst facility I have ever step foot in. I honestly have no idea how they manage to stay open. They need to be shut down. Literally bugs everywhere. Huge cockroaches in residents rooms, in the kitchen, down every hallway. The resident care is awful. The staff is inapprioate, neglecting and very unprofessional. Call bells go off for hours. The director of nursing is very unprofessional, rude and seems very uneducated.

My husband is a resident here. I have called many times asking to speak to Rita in the business office. I have asked for a call back every time, I have NEVER gotten one. Obviously this facility does not care about it's residents.

I would never allow one of my loved ones to go to this place. My relative was there for over 3 weeks and everyday was a nightmare. There appears to be no one in charge so the staff does whatever they feel like. The first thing you experience when you walk in is the smell and the noise. Most of the noise is from the staff and not the patients. It would take between 2 to 3 hours to get ice because the ice was locked up in a cooler. Most of the staff will not wear name tags so you really don't know who is handing out medication. I asked several of these people what the pills were and they said they had no idea. At one point in time my relative was given the incorrect medication and had a really bad reaction. I was told my multiple staff that it was probably a UTI. I was eventually able to run down the medical staff and they sort of admitted the error. My loved one lost over 6 pounds because the food was always cold and tasted terrible. If you have to put your loved one here because there is no other options make sure you have friends and relatives constantly visiting to make sure they are being taken care of. If you want anything done you have to go to the top management and always follow up.

My mother was under their care for 10 days . I visited her two to three times a day . I don't think that there wasn't a day that I didn't have to run someone down for one thing or another to assist my mother . Some times she just needed some water or help going to the potty . One time when I walked in , she had feces all over her bed and was playing with it ! I would not recommend this facility to anyone who loves their family member .

When I first put my Brother in there, I was disappointed and angry, because nothing was done for him which protected him from insults and lack of care....but then, after I reached the Head Director of this Facility, and spoke with her...all that changed. She took the matters into her own hands, and heads began to roll at that location for the One(s), who treated my brother with lack of care and Disrespect. She not only fix the problem with Harsh Wording to staff....but she got everything needed into place to take care of my Brother. I feel comfortable with his care now, the staff who now is in charge treats him with Great Respect and His care is on Point. I would reccommend this location to anyone....Its clean, It's Professional Now, and it is filled with caring individuals who takes Patients concerns and Care, with Top Notch Treaments. Thank you to the Head Director for fixing the situation with the Individual who made my Brother's entrance into Thorton Hall miserable at first and for showing true Care, for his Health and Well Being !!
