Wellington Place of Newport

First off, I want to say that I have always heard horror stories about nursing homes. I always thought that it was all a bunch of mean staff members and mean people staying there. That being said, Wellington Place changed my perception of this. The grounds on which it is located are beautiful. The staff was extremely accommodating as well. It always seemed as though people were going out of their way to ensure that the patients were well taken care of. My aunt had her own room with a television and could have visitors often. The only real negative I could find was the fact that it felt so lonely there. Perhaps more animal therapy would make it more lively.

Wellington is 2nd to none is the care and compassion they provide for the seniors in their community. The facility is beautiful and extremely clean. The common areas are nicely decorated and very cozy. The staff is educated and well trained. If any situation arises they are trained to handle whatever comes their way. The facility is well maintained and planned with senior needs in mind. The family is always welcome and encouraged to come and share personal celebrations in their family dining room. The Dining hall is a Bistro where meal are served and prepared as if the President is coming to dinner. The menu is well planned and the food looked and smelled simply amazing. There are many options to choose from and all of them are healthy and all diets are accommodated. The grounds are spectacular very serene and relaxing. The staff does daily checks on all residents and makes sure no one is isolated and left to become disengaged or alone. The staff here truly cares and will do all they can to make life here for your loved one as close to home as possible. I would place my loved on here.
