I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My parents are at Woldenburg skilled nursing, and we are very pleased. The administration and staff are attentive and kind. Dr. Powell and Terry are always available when needed, and all of the nurses and CNAs go out of their way to be helpful. The food is good, especially when compared to other similar facilities. The facility is very clean as well. Deciding where they should go for their extended rehab was tough, but we know we made the right decision.

Mom is at Woldenberg Village, and our experience has been good so far. We chose it because it was recommended by other people in the community. It was also the closest to us. The facility looks good. It's very clean, and the people are very helpful. They have masses, Bible study, bingo, outings to the grocery store, and baking activities.

I visited this facility

I had an in-person tour of Woldenberg Village. They were very friendly and very accommodating. It was a little more institutional. It was clean. The staff was amazing. She was very informative and friendly. It was a nice facility. My dad wanted to smoke, and it's a non-smoking facility, and that was the deal-breaker. There was no outdoor smoking area. Their dining room was formal and had tablecloths. It was spacious and warm. It wasn't the best fit for my dad, he couldn't walk very far, and it was so big.

My mom is in Woldenberg Village. It's very nice and the people are good. My mom says the food is good. They have bingo, church services, they do ice cream socials once a week, and they play dominos. Her room is spacious enough and it's clean. They do have a library. They've got a musician that comes in once a week or twice a week who plays the piano, and they've got a dining room, and they also do crafts. The care is excellent. They're well-maintained, everything always seems clean. The staff has been very nice.

My brother was in Woldenberg Village. He was in their nursing unit for medical care. He had to have antibiotics given by IV, so he was there for that. It was a nice community - that is why I was asking about it again. Everybody was fine. I think he thought the food was OK, but my sister actually brought him food, too. The location was perfect because my sister lives less than a half mile from it. Another reason why it was chosen was the location, and it was a beautiful property. It's been there a while, but it's well maintained. They had three different sections: nursing care, where my brother was; assisted living; and a section for people who just live there and didn't really need assistance. They had names for the separate sections, and it was really beautiful. The landscaping looked really nice. Even if you're just riding by or walking by, you'll like it. It was scenic. They had a little area where you could walk, and they had a pond. They had a little sign there saying, "Watch out for the alligators," which we found interesting. Everybody there was pretty friendly, and the staff was pretty good. However, we had a situation there. My brother is an amputee, and he had severe diabetes, so he had an open wound on his foot, and part of what they had to do was wound care. They said they knew how to do wound care, but when we got there, it wasn't wrapped properly. The bandage kept falling off, and we found out that he was walking and doing things without the bandage because it kept falling off. I just happened to notice and asked him, "Why is there no bandage on your foot? You're walking around with your foot on the floor, no shoes, open wound -- that's not good." I spoke to one of the nurses about that and they sent somebody in to rewrap it. She picked up the bandage that was on the floor and was going to put that back on his foot, and I stopped her. That was a situation that was concerning there, but otherwise everybody else was pretty good.

My mom was in the SNF for several weeks. The experience there was absolutely wonderful. The nursing staff, CNAs, and front desk receptionist were always kind and professional. My mom enjoyed the nurses and the activities provided during her stay.

I am/was a resident of this facility

My husband is currently a resident of Woldenberg skilled nursing facility. I find the staff from nurses to housekeeping to food services unbelievably wonderful. They are kind, skilled, helpful, polite everything you could possibly need in a facility like this. They will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and content. They are truly amazing and I cannot say enough good things about this staff. This includes all staff members for every single shift. My only complaint is the actual healthcare provided by the physician on staff. He is rude, arrogant and has an unbelievable GOD complex. He needs to be replaced by a doctor with a better bedside manner and one who actually cares about the care of the patients in this facility. Again the nursing staff, wound care nurses, physicians assistant absolutely amazing! Rooms are comfortable and clean. It is truly the Ritz Carlton of a skilled nursing, nursing home and/or independent living facility. I would never hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone who needs their services.

Our top choice is Woldenberg Village. We saw their assisted living and their memory care. The facility was really nice, with really good staff members, and the apartments were really nice. They have arts, interactive activities, and day trips. It's in a residential area and the campus is large.

The experience at Woldenberg Village was very nice. I think the people there had a higher level of independence versus the people that were at the other community we saw. I like the individual apartments versus a building with apartments. The units were being remodeled and upgraded. I didn't have to go down to a hall to an apartment; I only went down to a courtyard.

Woldenberg Village is a very nice place. We chose it because my mom was in their skilled nursing and her primary doctor is one of the home doctors there. The assisted living is an excellent place. It is very well run. We have been very happy with everything. My mom says the food is very good.

We looked at Woldenberg Village, but they didn't have any vacancies. They also didn't have a meal plan. They had the usual activities and amenities, like a workout room, a place to play cards, and transportation to the mall or to your doctors' appointments. The apartments were set up separately like a small village, not like in a big building with hallways, which is why they call them villas. The room was adequate and had its own kitchen and a little back area where you could sit out or have some plants.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm living at Woldenberg Village and I love it. The only thing it needs is a swimming pool. The cottage is lovely, very private, but there's a courtyard so you can see all the other cottages and the flowers. It's all on one floor, it has a lot of light, and there are a lot of windows. There's a nice patio, it's half covered and half opened, and there's parking for my two vehicles. Today I went to the aquarium in a bus, I took a painting class, and they have certain traditions. They serve free continental breakfast and lunch with extra charge, and they have housekeeping once a week.

In Woldenberg Village, they have assisted living and skilled nursing. I visited the Azaleas and it was really nice. They have a beauty parlor and serve 3 meals a day. It had a lot of flowers and the same manager is in charge of the 3 facilities. It looked fine. A lot of the people from independent unit, needing more care, would transfer there.

So pleased with the care my mother received at this facility. The people who work here really do care about the patients. Not your typical nursing home. No odors and no people hanging out in pajamas. Beautiful decor and lots of premium entertainment for the residents. Can't say enough good about this place. Didn't want my mom to ever be here, but was so relieved that she was receiving quality and loving care!

I chose Woldenberg Village; it's an independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing home. It's all on one piece of property of about 70 acres, and they have different concepts for the buildings. The independent living place consists of 60 individual cottages or villas, and I loved it. It's a really fine community. It has parking outside, and you're overlooking gardens. It's just very nice. There'll be 2 cottages attached to each other -- kind of like a double house. Some of it they call a wing, and there might be 6 units attached to each other. Maybe 1 or 2 will be single apartments, and 2 or 3 might be double -- 2-bedroom apartments and 2-baths. It's quite different than any others I've visited. Here, everything is a little separate. The staff is wonderful and marvelous. Everybody's so helpful and really aim to please. I met people who are living there, and they all just rave about how much they love it so I'm confident that I'll enjoy it. They had a continental breakfast which is included in your rent.

What an amazing place. The staff is courteous and compassionate and it is always clean and tidy. Definitely the "Cadillac" of nursing homes. We looked everywhere and this place was our #1 choice and we are VERY happy! Highly recommend it!

Sure looks pretty on the outside and as you walk thehalls with the lovely wallpaper, expensive carpet and furnishings but this place is absolutely horrible. Poor nursing, poor quality of care, poor attitudes, I cannot believe this place is even associated with Touro Hospital where everything was exceptional. My friend is fearful that any complaints will bring on retaliation. She has only been there two days and has fallen due to a nurse just walking out on her while she was standing in the bathroom. this is total neglect. There is nothing SKILLED about this "SKILLED Care" unit.

Mom and dad are in the independent part of Woldenberg Village. I choose it because when I take a tour, I am very impressed with the facility and with what they have to offer. They have transportation. They take you to doctor's appointment and stores, if you need. They have buttons that you can press in case of emergency. There are a lot of amenities. They have three meals if you want to partake and there are dining options too like they include light breakfast in the morning, the lunch is in the other building or the assisted living part and then the dinner is in the dining room at their place. Everything is nice, the rooms, the landscaping and the friendliness of the people. They always have plenty of staff there. The only thing that I will say is that maybe they can use a bigger closet, but there than that, I have no complaints.

The staff was very kind and attentive. They always made my family feel welcome. They treated my grandmother with respect and kindness. The facilities were always clean and secure. I continue to refer people into their assisted living facilities because i know they will have the best care in the area. They really are second to none. I greatly appreciate everything the staff has done for my family and the families of my friends. My family could not have cared for my grandmother the way they cared for her. The twenty four seven care is just what she needed. I loved that we could always visit even without notice to staff. We could be confident that the facility was clean even when we were there not there to check.

My cousin is in Waldenberg Village and has been there for about 2 and 1/2 months now. I visit him 3 or 4 times a month and have have always found the facility to be extremely clean and welcoming. The nurses and other staff have been extremely helpful and nice and have gone out of their way to make our entire family as comfortable as possible. On Saturdays they usually have someone in the common area playing the piano and singing for the residents and their families as well as birthday parties once a month for the residents who have birthdays in that particular month. They also have bingo games on Saturday nights. We have been extremely pleased with our experience at Waldenberg.

my mother was a patient at Woldenberg Village a while back. She became a patient there because she lost both her right and left legs due to poor circulation due to diabetes. The overall look of the place is really nice. It looks really upscale and expensive. MY mother was there for only a week becuase her insurance would only pay for that short amount of time. my mom had one or two really nice nurses while she was there. one of the staff nurses that she had was extremely nice and would answer when she called. she had no problem from this lady. one day, over the weekend, a temp nurse worked and she had a very bad attitude and was very neglectful. by my mother just recently having two legs amuputated, she had dressings on each leg that needed to be changed by a nurse, not the cna. (that was their policy) well that temp nurse my mother had told her early that morning that she would change her bandages but the lady never did. my mom repeatedly asked this lady to change her bandages and it never happened. eventually she told my mother that she "doesnt change bandages" so my mother ended up changing them herself. well of course the next day when the staff nurse returned, she told the lady about what didnt happen and she was furious. also that day, the head hauncho's were there and they visited my mothers room and she filed a complaint with the bigwigs and they were furious. they told my mother that a nurse is defidently qualified to change dressings and that they were going to look in to the matter, have the temp nurse repremanded and assured my mother that she would never work there again. other than that, my mother really enjoyed her time there. she loved the fact that you didnt have to stay in your room. she was able to move about freely throughout the facility. she was even able to go outside. they allow you to eat meals not only in your room but in the dining aream, the cafeteria, on the patio and i believe she could go out side and eat. they provide shuttle service to outside appointments that my mother really like. she even had her own telephone in her room with her own number. overall, by the time her week was up...she wasnt ready to leave.
