My mom lived at MTP for almost 2 years. From the time we first visited throughout her stay, the staff at every level was always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They truly understand that the details make the difference and keep the facility clean with nice decorations in the common areas to match each holiday or season. The community has nice rooms, with different layout options to match each person's needs. My mom always felt safe and cared for here, which was reassuring to us, her children. Nothing was ever stolen from her room (we had heard stories from other places, but never had an issue at MTP). They have a variety of good meal choices that rotate so the food doesn't get boring. The activities director does a wonderful job and there is always something - music, speakers, games, movies, special events - to do each day if the resident chooses. The neighborhood is nice too, close to the park, library, and Catholic church, on a nice tree-lined street to go for walks. We are so grateful for the loving care my mom received while living here and highly recommend Mountlake Terrace Plaza to anyone looking for a supportive community for themselves or their loved one.

Mountlake Terrace Plaza is a smaller community. It has 80 rooms instead of the others that we had looked at which had about 160 to 180 rooms. Their dining room would be open from 7 am to 7 pm. Residents can go down anytime during that period and get a meal. So, there are no restrictions on time as to when they go to eat. The rent includes three meals and three snacks a day, which was better than a lot of the places. We also liked the price for the size of the room and for the quality of the room as they had been recently redone. We met with the director, Frank, probably three times already and I've spoken with him probably six or seven times on the phone. He's a very nice gentleman and very helpful. I like him. He's an advocate for the people who are going to be residents there. He respects who they are as people. We've met the activities director, the head janitor, and other staff as they go by. He introduced us to everyone and my father-in-law was quite impressed with him. Frank tells you a little bit about every staff member that works there and they all seemed to be quite happy there.

Mountlake Terrace Plaza was very good, very professional, and thorough. The person that did the tour was great. He was very informative and really helpful. I liked the rooms a lot. I toured a one bedroom and it had a lot of space. It had a kitchen and a separate bedroom and that was nice. It was a nice facility. They had an exercise room and a little library area. They had different activities going on while I was doing my tour. They offered a lot including outings. One thing I liked was their food was more restaurant-style. You could come in any time during the day that you wanted to. There weren't any scheduled meal times. I liked the flexibility.

Mountlake Terrace Plaza was a wonderful place. What attracted my wife to the place was the library and the park across the street, and the people were nice. We'd like to move in there. The room was nice and Julia was very congenial and helpful. She did a good job. They have a TV room and a rec room, too. Everybody was friendly. The cost was just a little bit too high for me.

I selected Mountlake Terrace Plaza as the place where my grandfather was going to move, but he had a stroke right before he moved, and they were not capable of taking him any longer. I didn't understand that they were less capable of a facility than the one I had previously had him in. It's a really nice place, and I really liked all the people and everything, but I think that I didn't understand that they don't have the same 24/7 nurse on-site as the other place has. It only has a nurse on-site a couple of days a week and everything else is done by the caregivers. I just didn't ask the right questions. The rooms were nice, and the neighborhood was beautiful. It's right across the street from a park. The staff was all very nice. The building was nice, and it's in a great neighborhood. That would've been a good place for him, but I didn't ask the right questions to understand the level of care they were capable of providing. The front desk and the sales guy were very nice. I didn't have a chance to interact with any of the other staff really. They weren't the level of care I expected, so that's not their fault.

We chose Mountlake Terrace Plaza for my mother-in-law because she needed closer care and more round-the-clock assistance. At this point, I would highly recommend them. It's clean, it's great service, the food seems very nice, the staff is very friendly, and they are quick to respond to things. We haven't had any issues except there's a service charge if they bring your food tray up. Other than that, I'm very impressed.

Mountlake Terrace Plaza has a very receptive, warm, and pleasant staff. Everyone there, from the director to the head of nursing, from marketing to CNAs to the dining staff, all of them have been great, and I've been really happy with them. It's a very pleasant and homey environment. It's not too big, and the food is very good. They do happy hour every Thursday for the residents and their family members, and they usually serve hors d'oeuvres and wine and live music. I've attended twice already, and the residents seem to enjoy it as much as I did. They also have movies, arts, physical therapy, and coffee hour with pastries. Mom is doing so much better and eating so much better. She loves her very nice apartment. It's been a very positive experience for all of us.

Mountlake Terrace Plaza was OK. I saw people sleeping in the lounge when we came in, which wasn't pleasant. The halls were longer, so there was more walking. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were comparable, but the building was older.

I visited Mountlake Terrace Plaza. When you looked at it from the outside, it looked like a prison because it was old, but it was refurbished inside. I thought the parking was limited there because it was kind of cramped. It felt secluded. The only thing I liked about it was the particular I was looking at. It had a view of three directions which was really nice. The staff was fine.

I went to Mountlake Terrace and talked to their admissions person, who was very nice. We found out that my friend does not have enough income to cover the cost. It was a very beautiful place. Everything was fine.

My experience with Mountlake was very good. They're the one that we would consider because it's within five miles of us. The rooms were adequately sized. However, mom would prefer a washer and dryer in her own unit. The staff was good.

Mountlake Terrace Plaza was very nice. We used to live there, which is why we came back to check now. The food was very good, and the rooms were nice. I was very impressed with their medical staff. The nurses were very good, and the manager was great.

We had lunch during our visit at Mountlake Terrace Plaza, and we liked it. You could choose what you want, and I like that. What I had was very good. We felt that the people there were very friendly. The rooms that they have are very nice as you look out to the trees. It felt like you are in your home looking out and not in a big building looking at another building. The rooms seemed very adequate. We like it.

My wife has been in Merrill Gardens in Mountlake Terrace for about two and a half months now. The staff is almost beyond belief. They are extraordinary. My wife is receiving very good care. As a matter of fact, I will be bringing her home in about six weeks. The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They help her in a number of ways. The environment is very conducive to motivating her to do as much as recovery as she possibly can, and she has been good. When she goes in, she can barely walk, but now she can walk with or even without a walker. Her awareness of everything is so much better, than when she went in there.

Mountlake Terrace Plaza was very nice, but the physical appearance of the other facility was much better. The staff was very nice, and activities were good, but the rooms were smaller for the money.

I visited Merrill Gardens at Mountlake Terrace. It was just about the same as with the other facility. It was a little bit less expensive though, and it was a little bit of an older unit, I think, but that was fine; there was no problem with it. The rooms were fine.

My parents are going to Merrill Gardens and we had been satisfied with the service we got. What made us chose the place was the location, the meal program, the activities and the proper accommodation with two bathrooms that was a big plus. The food was very good and a lot of variety to choose from. There are many outings, movies and clubs within the house. The atmosphere was cheerful.
