Grandview Palms Senior Living Community

My grandmother has been at Grandview Palms for years. The staff = Amazing. The food = good (although there are always those days that it might not match with your tastes). Events = they always do a big production for the holidays with great food spreads for all the residents and their families/guests. Activities are good - their activities coordinator is fantastic and loves his job. I was there for lunch one day and they had a singer there singing old tunes and dancing with the residents. Really fun and added a big grin to my grandmother's face.

Apartments are really nice and modern. They are spacious and have nice amenities. They are all retrofitted with the correct handrails and emergency call systems. And any time my grandmother feels ill you can bet they have someone immediately up to her room to check on her.

Decor of the entire place is modern with traditional furnishings. There is some beautiful artwork and really unique furnishings throughout. Nice touches! Front waterfall is nice with really pretty architecture for the overall building. The neighborhood is not that great (in my opinion) and there is their sister nursing home right next door - however, I know nothing about it so this review is only for the assisted living. I understand there is a memory care unity but I've never had the chance to see it.

I would say this one thing when considering whether or not to choose this for your loved ones, the population is quite elderly and not as active which is quite important if you are looking for a place that is more "active." My grandmother was one of the more active people when she first moved in and I think it is something important to consider when selecting a place to live. It is also a little pricier but you can tell they put the extra effort in with everything they do.

The residents are so nice and the staff is even better. Every time I show up for lunch, the people serving are so warm and my grandmother can't wait to introduce me to everyone. Whoever does the hiring there is fantastic!
