I am a friend or relative of resident
My Grandmother was at Windsor Ridge. I was very happy with the place and with the workers. They all seemed to genuinely care about the people that lived there and the families, too. I have had other relatives in other facilities in this area, and Windsor Ridge was my favorite, by far! I would definitely recommend them!

The people at Windsor ridge seem very detached from the residents. When my FIL moved in, he arrived late in the afternoon after a long (for him) drive in bad weather. The nurse on duty was pretty mean to him as if it were his fault. That seemed to be the theme of his months there - a fight with the nurse, aides and the administration. He eventually was asked to leave because "his care level is too high". He is doing fine and dandy at a similar care facility. The place was always clean, but the residents seems un happy most of the time and the longer term ones seem the unhappiest. There was a severe reduction in the number of aides and nurses recently and their recreation director changed and many residents I have spoken to do not seem happy with the new one.I will say that the food service always looks good and the facility itself seems up to date.
I visited this facility
This particular facility seemed to be under staffed. There were hardly any people in the hallways and it seemed like solitary confinement. Most of the residents were either immobile or were confined to their rooms. The only redeeming factor was that it was very cleanly. The cleaning crew did a very good job. The floors were spotless in every room including the dining room. My grandfather in-law did not seem to like this facility and we moved on to another.

This place used to be great. Two nurses and two aides on most shift, helped residents get up and move around, lot of activities. But they were sold and now, the staff is reduced. One nurse and one aide and sometimes, only an aide. The activities are reduced to bingo and little else. My Father in Law moved out because the care wasn't high enough for him.
