I visited this facility
Serenity Mountain is named accordingly it is truly peaceful and serene here. This Mountain environment is breathtaking this lends to a healthy environment for healing and peace of mind. The owner built this facility as a dream for seniors to live in Serenity hence the name. The facility is breathtaking nestled in-between trees in the forest. The staff is stellar and 2nd to none. The staff is well trained and professional in their care of the residents. This facility is even a training facility for caregivers from around the country. The rooms are massive some with balconies to take in the scenery. The menu is all homemade and made from scratch. The food I ate was amazing. All diets are accommodated and special request are encouraged. Because this facility is so high in the Mountains it is a challenge to find it as well as when it snows they are cut off from the outside world until plows come. They are self sufficient and emergency services are close so they are not too far up but that is the only concern. I saw several deer which was nice to see and there is other wildlife that makes this truly a beautiful place to live. The staff keeps the residents active and alert with Bingo, games, arts and crafts, educational classes and Movies nights. There are groups that bring programs and Worship services to the facility for the resident’s enjoyment. It is clear the residents are at peace and love to share their home with visitors. The residents were so friendly and I had several ask was I moving in, they seemed disappointed when I told them I had a few years before I would be allowed. I was told I hope to see you again by staff and residents alike. This is a compassionate, friendly, kind environment and your loved one will be in Heaven on earth here. I HIGHLY recommend this peaceful Heavenly place.

I do not have anyone living at Morning Pointe but have been there for Caregiver Workshops and a Support Group meetings. I took my mother-in-law to these meetings; she is the main caregiver for her 97 year old mother and her 72 year old husband, both who have dementia-the workshop was just what my mother-in-law needed and was beneficial to me as well. The facility is very nicely decorated ('homey') and clean. The staff is always very friendly, helpful and empathetic-whether you are a 'paying customer' or not. It is evident that they truly care!

This facility is privately owned by a woman who has worked in longterm care from the bottom up—and this facility was her dream. She lives beside the place and the activities director lives nearby, too. That seems to contribute to the friendly, hands-on feel of the place.
Located in an isolated spot in the mountains, it is very difficult to find; if you’re from a big city, that might be a drawback. But many residents find that it’s close enough to needed help if there’s an emergency, but far enough away from city life so that the setting feels peaceful and serene.
There is also lots of wildlife in the area, which can cut both ways—providing residents with beautiful deer and elk to see, although some bears have also been spotted. In the wintertime, if it snows, there is no real access for outsiders.
The building makes the most of the view with its outside porches, and some of the rooms also have their own outdoor balconies. There is an elevator and a stairwell reminiscent of a really nice B and B that lead to the upstairs rooms.
Interesting common spaces include a sitting area with a bookcase and games built into the table—and the upper balcony overlooks an indoor waterfall and garden area, which has a very therapeutic, calming feel. In the summertime, the waterfall cools off the whole area—and the residents like to gather around it and socialize.
Both the private and semi-private rooms are huge—including a full walk-in closet, Jacuzzi, shower, and double sink. And there is more than enough room for sitting area.
Different religious services are offered, and residents get to pick and choose their food according to their wants and needs.
There is a nurse on staff for the assisted living residents, but no specific memory care is offered.
For those who want to retire in the mountains, this is the place to do it. For a place as nice as this—spacious, secluded, clean—people would pay an arm and a leg. Instead, the price of about $3,000 a month is similar to other facilities, but there are larger rooms and more one-on-one care than many other places, without bumping up the price to do it.
I would give this facility an even higher rating, but it is still new, so a bit too soon to tell about consistent care and upkeep.
