Visited this facility

I had a chance to visit and tour this facility and had mixed feelings about it. It had an impressive array of amenities including a salon, fitness room, nice dining area, and activity room among others. The staff seemed friendly enough and they seemed well liked by the residents from the interactions I saw. The main issue that I had with this facility was in the living units themselves. I was able to look at several different units (they have 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and different layouts which is why I viewed more then one)and saw several problems that I was not comfortable with. In one unit the front door would not close and latch properly and could not be locked. In another unit the kitchen was set up in an 'L' shape with the refidgerator on one side of the L and the oven on the other side. The oven door could not be opened all the way because it hit the refridgerator. And in the last unit that I looked at the kitchen floor was not level, it slanted and the flooring was bubbling up. Over all, I would not feel comfortable putting a loved one in this facility because of the issues in the units themselves. If this was something the facility could resolve then I would be more then willing to take another look and consider it an option.
