The Ritten House Senior Living Facility is located on very lovely grounds in a quiet area. The landscaping and exterior of the facility looks very appealing to those seeking a home-like atmosphere. There are rocking chairs on the front porch and many of the residents sit outside during the day. It is brightly decorated with flowers and rose bushes outside and flowers, bright curtains, and spacious sitting rooms greet you as you enter. The administrative and nursing staffs are friendly and welcoming. They provide visitors with information about their philosophy of choices and multi-level care provisions. There are studio, suite and vacation suites available with all utilities paid except for the telephone and cable bill. The facility includes a library, big screen television, beauty/barber shop and arts and crafts room. Housekeeping is done on a weekly basis and linen and personal laundry service option. There are scheduled transportation trips for medical related needs, shopping, movies, and planned recreational events. Bathing and assistance with activities of daily living are available. Amenities include: Medication management, one touch emergency assistance, and 24-hour direct care staff, physical, occupational and speech therapy, hospice services and furnished meals. There is controlled building entry for safety and security and residents can pay rent on a month to month lease. Medicaid is accepted. The tour was very informative and residents appear to be very comfortable in their new home.
