I visited this facility

We visited Unique House assisted living facility while looking at options for our aunt. The outside grounds were very well-kept with easy access for the seniors, where they enjoy safely walking around freely. There was also plenty of space to enjoy barbeques, picnics and parties. Residents can also tend the beautiful, lush garden.

The foyer was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. All of the interior was beautifully decorated and furnished with plenty of fresh air and natural light. The facility also accommodates all levels of ambulation.

The colors in the communal activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture. The seniors can easily socialize, play games, watch TV and films and many other stimulating activities.

The private rooms were spacious in beautifully decorated surroundings. Each had fresh air and natural light with comfortable furnishings.

Seniors use the fitness room and get plenty of exercise on walks daily. They can also take aerobics and yoga classes, or use the available DVDs.

The residents also go on many excursions into town to enjoy the many Houston galleries, music venues, libraries and to experience the casual and fine dining available. They also have a regular calendar of cultural events that they participate in.

The dining room was spacious and nicely decorated. The meals we saw looked and smelled delicious. The healthy menus had food options for all diets. Snacks are offered throughout the day and evening, in addition to when requested by the seniors.

The residents appeared content and well cared for in this very well designed living environment.
