I visited this facility

This facility is heaven on earth, and I’m not kidding. I would rank it 10 stars if I could.

This is a wellness home. They incorporate the wellness concept in everything they do, so there’s a lot of fruit and vegetables, and they incorporate the wellness ideals into the treatment plan.

This is a higher-end assisted living facility. Although it is located in a residential home rather than a custom facility, I’d compare it to some of the bigger facilities in the area.

The location is great. It backs up to the Southwest Memorial Hospital, so the hospital is within walking distance. They do lots of health and wellness, including encouraging the residents to walk and use their swimming pool. They have a reading club and other things like that.

They have home health that’s available.

If you’re into healthy food, the food is great, but it’s more of the wellness concept – all organic, all natural.

The staff is great and highly competent. The owners are also very involved and part of the Texas Organization of Residential Care Homes. They have CNAs, but also live-in help staff who are there 24 hours a day.

The residents’ rooms are large, with a large shower area. Here, residents don’t bring in their own furnishings. They might bring books and lotions, but not decorations. I think one of the owners used to be an interior decorator. When you go in there, it’s so gorgeous. The shower area looks like a spa. I asked them, “Where’s my room?”

They have two dining areas – a formal area and a breakfast nook. They also have a great room and another area to read.

They incorporate pet therapy, and they have two friendly dogs that live on the premises.
