Epworth Village Retirement Community is a very nice place to live. They're very caring. My mother has lived here for 15 years and she's been very happy. It's excellent care. It's very Hispanic-oriented. There are some non-Hispanics there, but almost everybody who works there speaks Spanish, and it's just a cozy environment. Connected right next door is a nursing home for full care. The staff is very caring. Whatever she needs, they're there for her. The upkeep of the building is very good. I've never seen any problems. It's always freshly painted. The gardens are beautiful. They have a bus that will take them to Walgreens and the mall. They have activities in-house. I know they have parties and birthday celebrations. They have somebody come in every once in a while to talk about their career or something. Value for money is excellent.

I went to look here. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with a nice smile and a hello. The staff showed me a one-bedroom apartment. The parking was horrible, but other than that, everything was fine. It's a very small community, and I like that. It looked so quiet, and the people looked so happy. I had to sit down and rest because the walk was terrible. They don't have those cars that they ride around in on the golf course. They need some of those, especially for elderly people who cannot do too much walking because of their backs. The staff explained to me that the carts were for the workers. I went into a room that they had renovated, and I liked it. The grounds were nice. The flowers looked well-kept. Everything was beautiful. I liked the outside benches. They had a beauty shop and a gift shop. The cafeteria was very nice. They have a place where they play games and stuff. The staff told me they had a calendar for activities. The staff members and the patients were very nice.

My mom moved here. It was amazing. The office is very helpful throughout the process. My mom has only been there for a month. So far, so good. The room is great. The meals are included. They get to have birthday celebrations. They have bingo. They go to the supermarket and take the residents to the doctor.

We looked here. They have four different sections. You can be independent living or assisted living. They also have one for people that need care for 24 hours or round-the-clock. The tour was very nice, it's a very nice place, a nice facility, and the people over there were very courteous. Martha was the person I talked to. She's very nice. Naturally, in the area that they're in, they have Spanish people. They're bilingual. They have a nice dining room. They have nice facilities, and they're just right next to the shopping center, so they're within walking distance. There's a Sedano's food market right across the street, if you wanted to go across the street with some food. There was also a gym right around the corner and right across the street as well, which takes SilverSneakers. Those are pretty good advantages for being there. They have a religious place. You have your Sunday services right there on campus. It's not Jewish or anything, but it's Baptist or Methodist. They have a couple of little places where you can read books, do crafts, and things like that.

My mom was at the independent living facility here and then she moved to their assisted living. The facility is very nice. It's excellent. They have lots of activities. They served three meals a day. You have your apartment and if you're in the assisted living, they have nurses that come every couple of hours to check on the patients. It's very nice. They have arts and crafts, bingo, cards, and musical during the day. There are a lot of activities and everybody was very friendly.

My aunt lived there for 3 years and loved it. She made many friends there and took part of the knitting classes and parties that they had there to celebrate monthly birthdays, and other holidays. She always raved about how great the food was and her apartment was always clean. She was very happy there till she died and now my uncle also lives there and even though he is anti-social and doesn't partake in any of the many activities that they offer there, he is very happy there.
