Columbia Cottage Assisted living Center

Columbia Cottage is a delightful facility that caters to their residents. The rooms are large some with kitchenettes. The staff is professional and attentive. They show compassion and are very warm towards the residents. The facility is very clean and sterile. The residents are happy, bright and alert. They seem to really enjoy their time here and are engaged by staff and each other. There are many activities to choose from an active calendar. There is Bingo, Chess, Bridge, Arts and Crafts, There is movie night with snacks and fresh popcorn and this is a popular activity. The grounds are beautiful and have lovely gardens for relaxation and enjoyment. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with warm smiles and handshakes. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The staff I witnessed was attentive and engaging to the residents and the residents seem to really love the staff. The dining hall is well designed and offers a warm cozy atmosphere for fine dining and wonderful meals with friends. Over all this facility impressed I and I would place my loved one here.

My mother was a resident of this facility before she became ill and passed away. The staff were very caring and attentive. They were so helpful to us during the time we had to move my mother's belongings out of the facility. While there my mother enjoyed her very large room that included a small kitchenette area so she could keep drinks and snacks available to her. She appreciated the delicious meals, large public areas and the lovely grounds and gardens. She also was glad to be in a facility that checked on her but also allowed her the ability to continue to be somewhat independent. We also felt that the cost of the facility was reasonable and worth the accommodations and care she received.
