I visited this facility

When first stepping in to the facility, it is obvious that the people who stay there do not get many visitors. They all immediately approached me and were asking my name and if they could borrow money. Many of the residents are younger, and are in the home because of medical reasons, and the fact that their families cannot take care of them sufficiently. The staff is cordial, but they all seem inattentive or indifferent to the patients' needs. I have visited this particular nursing home many times over the years and I have never had an experience that was different. All of the residents are starved for attention, and the staff seems not to care. The one bright spot was the activities coordinator, who unfortunately is only there a couple hours a day. She seemed interested in what the residents had to say. As for the living conditions, all of the rooms seemed drab, but clean and neat; definitely an older facility.
