Fair Haven II

I visited this facility

We visited Fair Haven II assisted living facility as a new home option for our aunt. The building looked well maintained. The inside was very nicely decorated with comfortable furnishings.

The well designed grounds offered nice access for the seniors, where they have many fun barbeques, private parties and picnics. Residents also can enjoy the outdoors with minimal supervision.

All indoor rooms were very fresh with plenty of light and air. Private rooms also featured plenty of natural light so that each room was nice to be in. The décor was soothing, yet not boring or dowdy, as well.

The communal rooms were decorated nicely with comfortable furniture. The seniors enjoy games, great discussions and seemed to be having a great time. Seniors also may read, watch movies and TV – or use computers, make crafts of garden. The residents displayed various ambulation levels – all of which the staff seemed to handle easily.

Seniors can take physical exercise in the workout facility and outside. They offer classes and DVDs to use. They also visit local art galleries and museums, eateries and local cultural events. The residents can also walk around the grounds safely.

The library had many great books and the room could also be used for private events by residents and also reserved for private parties.

The food we saw looked and smelled nutritious and delicious. The menus had healthy, yet interesting options, while adhering to dietary requirements. Snacks are offered throughout the day, and whenever seniors request them.

This facility had very content and well cared for seniors. The staff made every effort to ensure that the residents were both safe and comfortable in this living environment.
