I am a friend or relative of a resident

The staff was nice and very helpful towards both residents and visiting family. They had a full dining hall with meals cooked almost restaurant style the menu wasn't super variable but that is understandable considering the amount of people that were being fed. There was a library with many genres of books with computer access as well. It's situated on the side of the hill adjacent to the high school. The facility setup trips for residents to take them grocery shopping or just to visit parks and everything in between. There was often visits from the high school music department where they would play music for the residents which I grandmother really enjoyed. The staff there was very medically knowledgeable and treated the residents with the utmost care and respect as they should be. The rooms were studio style apartments with 1 full bathroom. It also had a mini kitchen with fridge so if the residents chose to eat at home and didn't feel like they wanted to go to the dining hall they didn't have too. Overall I have to say that this was an excellent facility that my Grandmother enjoyed as did the rest of our family.

Churchhill Estates is a Independent/Assisted Living/Residential/Memory Care community in a really safe Eugene location. The facility is really nice and always clean. I always make a point to talk with a new resident every time I visit and they always have great things to say about the facility and the staff. I rarely hear complaints and when I do it is usually over something simple like they don't like the tablecloths or something like that, so that's a good thing!

The staff at each care level is always very friendly when I visit and they always greet me with a warm smile and answer any questions that I have. They are great with the residents as well and they really try to encourage the residents to maintain some independence, they are very patient and caring of each resident. I feel very good about the quality of care in this facility. Each care unit is laid out easily for the residents to navigate, especially the memory care unit. They make the unit familiar to the residents by placing things that act as visual clues through out the floor to help them in realizing where they are, the floor has a very simple layout so it is easy for them to find their way around.

There are many activities and events available to the residents and for the most part the residents enjoy to stay busy, there are also a lot of things for them to do outside, which is great, because fresh air is always good and being outdoors has a way of lifting a person's spirits. The grounds are also secure, so the residents are pretty much allowed to wander as they wish, within reason of course.

On thing that I like about this community is that for pretty much all care levels all 3 daily meals and snacks are included in the monthly costs. Most facilities include only one meal per day in the cost, or they are given an monthly allotment, however, at Churchhill the residents do not have to worry about divvying out their meals to make them last, because they are all included. It's nice because it's one less thing the residents have to worry about.

I would recommend that care givers and their loved ones take a tour of Churchhill Estates, I think they will really enjoy all that the facility has to offer.
