Simpatico Cielo Vista had very nice common areas. I liked the way they set up the kitchen. I liked the lady that was in charge of admitting a person. She was excellent. They have an excellent package of what happens next, what you bring, and what you keep at home. The common areas weren't that large. They did have an excellent theater kind of area, but there were not a lot of tables where people could sit if they wanted to do that instead. So it made me wonder where the activities could take place. The person that gave us the tour was fine. The cleanliness was excellent. The areas that I saw were good or above average, but they just weren't big enough.

I went to Simpatico Cielo Vista. They had a model room and it was an assisted living kind of setup. They did a good job of presenting their community to me. I kind of signed in and waited a few moments for the young lady that was giving the tour. She took me through the building and described what was available to the residents. We were looking at the residents in their natural setting in a sense, so you could get an idea of this is where they eat, this is where they do extra fun activities, where they can go outside and walk around. I believe there was a young gentleman with us as well who was sort of on the business side of it. I was just describing to them my husband's physical problems and kind of make a note of what kind of medical stuff was available to help him. I don't think they had hospital beds, although I think they could get one. His care needs were to the point where it would be at the outer limit of what they could do and maybe slightly beyond it, but it did look like an appealing place to be. It was clean and it was bright, and the people seemed to be moving about living their lives. There were some in wheelchairs like my husband. I felt like they gave a good tour. They answered all my questions. I tried to answer all of theirs as well and it gave me an idea of how much it would cost. Since he didn't have a lot of physical needs, his cost of care would have been pretty high (about $4,000-something a month), so I made a decision at that point that I didn't think he'd probably end up going there. Since he didn't need a lot of care, I didn't feel like it was reasonable that they were charging that. As far as what they were doing for people and the quality of the place, it seemed like a good place. I walked out of there thinking, you could do worse than living there. It would sound kind of negative, but I'm still independent, and still able to take care of myself. If I could not, then I might think that would be an A1 place. The staff seemed good. They seemed to be doing a fine job with cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.

When we did the tour of Simpatico Cielo Vista, I liked that it seemed friendlier. It felt more like a community, like everybody got along really well. Even the patients there, they seemed like they got along, and they knew each other pretty well. We are far more comfortable with it. Even the outdoor yard, we like that a lot. In fact, it felt like you were walking out into your own backyard. The staff was very receptive to us and friendly. We felt good, like that was definitely the place where we would wind up taking my mother-in-law for sure. We were given snacks there, and it was pretty sweet; it was good.

The staff at SunRidge at Cielo Vista was very open and friendly and the people living there seemed to be also very friendly. They showed me three rooms, one is supposedly a two-bedroom, one-bedroom and an efficiency, and they were very small. I saw both assisted living and memory care.

My husband's uncle moved into SunRidge at Cielo Vista and the staff there is exceptionally helpful. They listen to everything, to learn more about him and get him involved in things that he would like. They offer a ton of activities, my husband and I got exhausted even by just looking at the calendar. They were super easy to work with and we've been over there numerous times since, and I've already seen the change in him. He looks very happy. There are residents of his age and he has a roommate who is a lovely gentleman. The grounds are well kept, their dining room is huge, and they've got a big piano in it. It brought my husband and me comfort because you hear so many horror stories about people just getting sick, but this was just so pleasant. The chef made my husband and me a beautiful dessert, but my husband's diabetic, so we don't eat a lot of sugar. We gave it to the neighbor kids and they said it was awesome. The value of money has been very, very reasonable. I was surprised by it. He has everything that he needs in his little apartment, except cable, but we'll take care of that. They provide laundry facilities, three meals, transportation to wherever he needs to go, social activities, and he's already hooked on the bingo. I have high standards, so they've got some room for improvement. They just also went through an ownership change. So, more updates are coming along, which is nice.

My grandmother has been in SunRidge at Cielo Vista for two months now. It's great. Even from before she was there, the staff was responsive, very friendly, and patient. They answered all my questions and my mom's questions. Once my grandmother arrived, they did a really good job of welcoming her and helping her get settled in. When I went in myself to go visit her, it looked very clean. They allowed the residents to go for a little walk inside. Once Covid is better, they'll be able to do more activities together. Everybody I saw there seemed happy. When I got to sit down with my grandmother, she was telling me that the food is not bad, and the nurse staff is really friendly. They greeted me when I was there as well. It seemed like they treat all the residents very respectfully and very friendly. They're overall kind. It has been a really good experience for both my grandmother and for us just knowing that she is somewhere safe, and the people there are very capable. They have a variety of accommodations. They can either get a completely private room with just my grandmother, which was a little bit more money or she could have one roommate. Her room was very spacious. They helped arranged the furniture, so that it looked like it was sort of two rooms, so she and her roommate can have their own little closets and their own little space and then they just share a restroom, which is inside the room as well. The facility is a very manageable size. It's not a huge place, but they have a modest little garden area and then some benches where people can sit outside. They've been great. The staff are all very friendly and responsive. The facility is pretty big. The rooms are kind of set apart, so the room feels private, but there's a lot of open space like windows and light so that even if you're kind of wandering around inside, it feels very open. It is a little bit expensive, and that was a major consideration.

SunRidge at Cielo Vista is nice, but I like the other place I toured better. I met the lady that took me for a tour, she was very nice, very friendly, and very informative. The layout of the place was fine. I liked it, I just didn't like the actual rooms. They were pretty small and they didn't have kitchens, which is what we wanted. Then they have rooms where they have two people in there, and it's just too small for two people. It's like a hospital room and I didn't like that.

We were able to tour SunRidge at Cielo Vista. We had another family member go on their own over there, too. Everyone was really helpful and polite. They had restrictions on Covid, and it was reassuring that they had us do rapid testing. The place was very clean, and it didn't smell. I've been in some other home retirement centers or communities that had a musty smell. It had a lot of natural light, too. The level of care that I saw was really high. We went towards that one for our grandma, but another family member wanted the closer to location. They sent us home with a plate of cookies that they baked. They were very good. They didn't last long.

My mother paid quite a bit of money at SunRidge at Cielo Vista, but they took away the cable TV and access to laundry facility. The woman who did their activities though was exceptional and I'll give her a 5. The time my mom was there, they had three different directors. According to my mother, the food was terrible. Half the time, the place stank really bad. Sometimes on the weekend I found out that they didn't have cleaning staff, and I said that's unacceptable.

I visited SunRidge at Cielo Vista. It's more expensive than the place I chose for my mother. It had activities, but they didnt offer as much for the price. I would rate the staff a 3 based on what they presented to me.

My mother is a friend of someone who has been residing in Sunridge for two and a half years, so I visited many times. It's close to my house in our neighborhood. I think the food is good. My mother's friend enjoys being there. I think they're very attentive. If my mother's friend has a doctor's appointment, they make sure she gets there.

I really liked SunRidge at Cielo Vista. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. They took us where they wanted us to go and see what they wanted us to see which was good. I saw the bathroom, the bedroom, and the living room, and they were very comfortable and very clean. The rooms were very nice. Generally, the people there are not very mobile, but they could put them on the first floor, and they have chairs, wheelchairs, and elevators that they could use. They had good lunch meals. They had things that the senior citizens could do.

SunRidge at Cielo Vista was the very first one I visited. When I walked in, I didn’t like the smell. The rooms were very small, and most of them didn’t have their own bathrooms; they had to share. In memory care, I understand some of them needed help, so the bathroom would be outside their room where the people working there could help them or whatever, but I didn’t like it. When you first walk in, it was pleasant and looked clean. It’s just when you get down into the halls, I didn’t like the smell. The staff seemed nice. They’re friendly, but only to the point where they needed to be, and it left me to wonder what they were like when no one else was watching. It didn’t leave me with an impression of a place I wanted to take my parents. It looks clean; it’s just that when something looks clean but smells, it’s not clean. I probably would recommend it if it was just a single person. My parents have been married for 65 years, and they don’t want to be separated, so I’m trying to keep them together for as long as I can.

I have not been too happy with SunRidge at Cielo Vista because often, there are certain things written on the calendar for my parents to do and remember, but I find out these things are not always provided to them. My parents are in a very small room with a queen-sized bed and two recliners and not much room to move around for two people. My parents don’t like the food because the vegetables are overcooked, and they serve the same things over and over. It's not the food they are used to eating, so they don’t like it. My parents are in the lock-down area, so when I go visit, I have to wait for a long time before someone opens the door for me.

I like that Sunridge at Cielo Vista has a lot of light, and I like that one for an elderly community. The people were very helpful. I like the courtyard, where they have an area for the residents to go out. I also like that they have an area where families can get together. I also like their menu because it has variety. I saw that they have arts and crafts and different group activities.

We visited SunRidge at Cielo Vista. The facility looked well-run. It was after lunch hour, so there was nobody. There weren't too many residents. My mom liked the rooms; however, the reason she wouldn't want to be there because it is about eight miles away. The staff was very polite. They were very friendly. They were much more affordable than the other facility.

SunRidge at Cielo Vista was nice, but we just couldn’t afford it. Everything seems really nice and perfect. I would have put my mom there, but we can’t afford it. They were helpful and nice. The rooms were nice, and the dining room was very pretty. Everything was positive about it.

I wasn't impressed with SunRidge at Cielo Vista. The staff wasn't as friendly, the residents that I saw were sitting all by themselves just staring at the floor, and it had a bad smell. I wouldn't want to be there, and I wouldn't put my family member there. The room they showed us was nice enough, and it did look clean, but I just didn't get a good feeling from the minute I walked in the door.

I was very pleased with this facility. The staff and management were very nice and welcoming. The residents at this facility seemed content and there were many activities for the residents to participate in such as arts and crafts and exercise classes. There were places for socializing and even a library! Overall, this was a great living facility. I was happy to place my grandmother here and trusted them with caring for her.

This facility is the place we have picked to place my mom into later this year. They have an Enchanced Living (formerly Memory Care) section. The Alz. residents of the EL and the Assisted Living are together for many activities during the week. What I like is that they are allowing me to bring my mom in during the week to activities and thus she is getting more familiar with the people there and once we place her in the facilitly there will be less adjustment. The staff there is very caring and loving to all the residents. They enter the world of the Alz residents and meet them where they are. In all the times I have been visiting I have seen the care consistent at all times. My mom has loads of fun there and she thinks of it now as her ministry to visit the people there. That helps greatly.

The Village Oaks at Cielo Vista is an assisted living facility that we decided to visit since we were in the region looking at places for our aunt. It has a lovely exterior and it was clear that it is well maintained. The staff was friendly and cordial -- and seemed to interact really well with a variety of types of residents. We liked the comfortable decor and could see that the seniors enjoyed it, as well. The furnishings were all homey and accommodating. The communal areas offered settings where the residents could enjoy everything from cards and games to socials. The library was very quaint and peaceful. There is a lot of light throughout the facility, which is something our aunt would really appreciate. In addition to activities they offer on site -- the seniors are taken on regular outings almost daily -- largely due to the lovely and mild weather in the region. The dining room was very cozy -- but still ample in size. The home style food looked and smelled deliciously prepared and nutritious as well. The variety of snacks was impressive, too and are available any time the residents desire them, as well as being offered throughout the day. Residents are encouraged to participate and enjoy the many things there are to do, including their exercise programs. This is a very nice facility with caring staff and well-treated residents.
