Meadow Lakes

I like how the Meadow Lakes is designed. It's well laid out and it's very nice. The price is good, too. The rooms are fine and the staff is very pleasant. The food that we've had there so far has been very good. My mother is happy and I'm very pleased. I would recommend them to others.

My husband was a resident (memory care and skilled nursing) at Meadow Lakes for almost 3 years until he died recently. My family and I are very satisfied with the level of care he received. We found the staff to be exceptionally compassionate and committed to all residents. This was demonstrated by their friendly and positive attitudes while individualizing residents' care. Any concerns or questions that we had were addressed promptly. And during my husand's last days and hours, the staff could not have been more supportive. Food was very good and diet adjustments were made as required. Housekeeping services were very good and kept the internal environment very fresh and lovely. The arboretum and grounds provide a beautiful, restful and peaceful external environment. I have been a registered nurse for over 40 years and have much experience in health care. I would rate Meadow Lakes a 5 out of 5, not because it is perfect, but because overall, compared to similar facilities, it is among the best. I highly recomment Meadow Lakes.

My uncle didn't want to go at first because of the bad reputation that some of these facilities have - he resisted, but I think he likes it there now. We are comfortable with him living there, too. The staff is friendly and helpful and they take good care of him. They have a nurse on call most of the time for emergencies and we feel safe having him there. The grounds are nice - as the name says, it's located on a lake. They have a patio that you can sit out on to watch birds and be relaxed. We visited two other places in the area, but we thought this one had nicer rooms. He complains about the food, but we actually tried it and it wasn't bad. They have activities for him there weekly, which keeps him busy and active. All in all, I would recommend it.

My mother was in the facility was in Meadow lakes for almost 2 years before her passing. The initial process of moving her into an assisted living was very tough and i did a lot of research before deciding on Meadow Lakes. I actually am from East Windsor so the travel time there is all very reasonable. The facility itself is very scenic. Every door has easy access buttons to open them. It is always VERY clean in there as well. One thing that i did notice is that they cater their care to the individual which i think is so important. My mother really liked to do her own thing and they allowed her to do them with the appropriate support. Another plus is the food. The dining area itself is very pleasant and the food is delicious. I often ate meals there while visiting. Also the staff is great. Overall i would recommend this facility.
